hit-and-run victim and the woman who saved her life share their story. monica is just a freshmen at gcu. hit by a car, left in the middle of the road. >> luckily for her, jesse her guardian angel saw what happened and then rescued her and tonight only on fox 10, marcy jones spoke to the pair about that life changing day. >> this is really an incredible story. as you both know, recently we have been covering a couple of stories where something bad has happened when a tries to step in. when i talked to jesse, she said nothing was more important and on her mind than stepping in and helping to save this life. >> monica and jesse may look like old froans but they -- friends but they met three weeks ago. the day monica almost lost her life. >> with a blink of an eye i see a human, a petite little human up in the air and fall into the next lane. another blink i just blinked

for strangling his family dog and putting that dog in a barbecue smoker. 42-year-old patrick zane thompson was sentenced to three years supervised release and then ordered by a judge not to own any animals any more this was back in may when goodyear police say thompson was upset with the t-shirt. he thought it had something to do with the devil he burned the shirt in the barbecue and did the same to the family's pet poodle. he was smoking pot eli day. fox follow up, two teens arrested in connection with the rarmed robberies where the suspects were wearing clown masks and the video is terrifying. you see someone in the clown mask coming into the store robbing the taco bell, 99th avenue and lower buckeye. police believe a hispanic 17-year-old is the one behind that mask that teen also accused of helping another teen in the robbery. this crime was domino's at 79th avenue and lower buckeye. the second teen was arrested during a traffic stop last night

the robberies on him. so that led the investigation right back to the first robbery, the suspect at the taco bell. armed robbery. final preparations are underway for the official state funeral of former israel president shimon peres. while the rest of the world mourns him, arizona is honoring him. peres is currently lying instate as people gather to pay their respec minister, nobel peace prize winner and is being considered the last link to the country's founding generation. he died yesterday at the age of 93. more than a dozen world leaders will join president obama at the funeral tomorrow including prince charles and the presidents of france and germany. and governor doug ducey in honor of shimon peres has ordered flags at half staff to honor him. ducey's orders apply to state

first tonight at six o'clock: a fox 10 news first tonight at six first tonight at 6:00, a "fox 10 news" alert out of el mirage where police are on the scene with a collision of a van and bike. skyfox over the scene and that area is 128th avenue and cactus and you can see that bike was underneath that mini van that's unclear if the bike rider was a child or an adult or what may have led up to the collision. there is no word yet on the condition of the person. you can see the van did stop there and people are cooperating with the officers on scene. we are working to get more information for you and bring you the latest if we get an update during this newscast. in buckeye tonight, police have identified a young woman who was found dead last week in a canal. she was 18-year-old gabby feel good gutierrez. officers found her body in a canal south of sunrise drive. it's unclear how she died. police are now hoping that
