challenge for police now is to figure out who this person is and how this person ended up here. a worker at the industrial business made the latest gruesome discovery yesterday afternoon. while working near the back of the large complex, he spotted the decomposing body on the south side of the river bed. people who work in the area have been on edge for more than a week. >> they are scared and worried. >> reporter: he runs an auto wrecking business next to where >> i never hear anything like that happen before. reporter: the first discovery came on september 21, a worker at this auto parts yard spotted a severd arm and called police. this business is where the rest of the body was found yesterday. >> there are animals in the area where the body was found and their opinion is that the body or the part that was found was possibly taken by an animal that

>> reporter: because the body is in such bad shape, they have to wait for the medical examiner to determine how the person died and i.d. the body. >> to clear this up and make sure we are safe. >> reporter: police can tell us the body is that of an adult. anyone who can help should call silent witness. reporting live in south i'm andrew hasbun, fox 10 news. sky fox and the mcso bomb squad heading to the scene of a possible explosive device. a man on a walk found the device. the device had the markings of a pipe bomb but was missing a few pieces so they are not sure what they got here. the bomb squad has secured the device and they are looking for fingerprints tonight. a couple of armed robberies

sheriff deputies think they may be connected. one of the suspects was at a spa. he is described as a black or indian man between 5'9" and six feet tall. deputies believe this robbery is related to one that happened the day before at papa murphy store. a dark charcoal gray sedan may be involved in the crimes. police need your help to get a dangerous man off of the streets. he tried to sexually assault her. >> reporter: this is where it happened in broad daylight wednesday afternoon. a woman working on a property near 99th avenue and jomax when a man, who is still on the loose, brutally attacked her. >> this is gross.

pulled up after three men found the terrified woman. >> when i pulled up, she was sitting on the ground and had her face covered. she was bawling her eyes out. it was sickening seeing her like that. she was a wreck. >> reporter: police say a man tried to sexually assault her in the middle of the day. because they are letting her recover, they don't have a great description of the man they need to find. the police department is taking this so seriously tt increased patrols where this happened to not only spread the word but to make sure it doesn't happen again. now they are asking for the public's help to get a dangerous man off of the streets. liz kotalik, fox 10 news. a 6-year-old boy who was struck while riding his bike is recovering in the hospital. sky fox was over the scene. he has several broken bones and

he was chasing after a dog on his bike. the driver managed to avoid the dog but not the boy. they do not think impairment played a role in this crash. mesa school is the latest to be targeted by clown thefts. pictures of clown faces threatening violence at the school and people got concerned. hundreds of parents kept their kids home from school. for those threats and they say all of the threats appear to be unrelated, however, mesa is confirming their schools were targeted and security was stepped up as a result. in a developing story, a south carolina boy who is accused of killing his father and shooting at an elementary

93 degrees right now. the wind out of the north at 15 as the breezes pick up again today. as we look at the current temperature, 93 in glendale. 89 in fountain hills. 93 in chandler. a little warm at the seasonable norm at 96 in ahwatukee. i guess that changed yesterday. it is 95 right now. got a little moisture around the state hanging around for the last day of the monsoon. the end of the monsoon doesn't necessarily mean the end of the moisture. take a look at what you can see here. down south of us at maricopa. a little gathering of moisture on the west side. we have a little more. we look up north here and you can see flagstaff up in the north. let's run up there and take a look. a few storm systems running through there on the day today. over on the eastern mountains, you see some of it show up and it dries up quickly. staying power with a little bit of moisture down there. the city is looking pretty good

stuff around. that southwestern corner of the state, we have an air quality issue through the weekend and in the northwestern portion of the state, we have a little bit of fire weather up there, very, very dry and windy conditions. 96 degrees on the high today. 94 in deer valley. 97 in goodyear. gateway, almost at 100 at 99 degrees. 75 at prescott. 68 degrees at show low with 98 down in the deserts at gila bend. 99 at yuma. 96 degrees here. 95 and 72 would be the normal high and low. record high, 107. record low at 49. look at what we are forecasting for tomorrow. we get closer to the mid 90's and, in fact, some nice-looking temperatures around the state. 78 in sedona. 67 in flagstaff.
