we begin with a fox ten news alert... an infant - rushed from daycare - to the hospital - in critical condition... the hospital... from lil' world daycare. that's near southern and 16th street. there is now a large police precense at the scene. the call came out as medical around 11 this morning. very little is known about this at this time - and police have not said it's police have this time - and about this at this time - and police have not said it's suspicious. we have a crew working this story - and will bring you updates as we get them both on air - and online - on fox news now.

developing news this afternoon... on a man who died after being electrocuted this morning. phoenix fire now tells fox... the man who was electrocuted.. was an electrical contractor. he was working on a commercial building near 75th avenue and buckeye road when he was electrocuted. when crews arrived... the man had already died. they had to wait for s-r-p to turn off the power in order to safely remove the body. it's unclear what exactly the man was working on when he was electrocuted. this is under investigation... once we know more we will

investigators are looking into what caused a deadly crash involving a school bus out in laveen this morning. the crash happening around 7 near 71st ave and broadway.. there were two people in the jeep... when it crashed into the school bus... a woman who was driving... and a 16-year-old boy. the woman died... the 16 year old old weas rushed to the hospital in critical condition. no students were on the school bus at the time of the crash.... and the bus driver wasnt hurt. at this hour, we're learning more about the death of a 5-month-old boy - left in a car for paperwork - revealing what happened in the hours - leading up to his death. andrew hasbun has been following this story. he

that is the five-month-old child's uncle, and his girlfriend is 23-year-old monique avila. so according to peoria police, those two picked up the child yesterday from garcia's sister in el mirage. they brought the child back here to the apartment complex while the child's mom was at apparently they just forgot the child in the backseat of the ka. when they finally realized what was going on, they brought the child inside, tried to administer cpr but were unsuccessful. when the child arrived, they were pronounced dead here at the scene. according to investigators, they checked the temperature inside the car a couple of hours after the baby had been found, and the temperature inside the car was 105 degrees.

girlfriend have been booked for child abuse, and charges could get more serious as the investigation unfolds. reporting live in peoria, i'm andrew hasbun, fox 10 news. andrew, thank you. well, new at noon, two dogs are rescued from a house fire in mesa. now the pups named penny and mia were inside a home streer stapley when flames sparked in the kitchen this afternoon. both were pulled from the home and in pretty bad shape, as you can see firefighters were able to use fido bags. the dogs were given a second chance at life. rufus, the chihuahua rescued off the roof of a south phoenix home rescued on sunday. >> they gave them until last night to claim the pup, but

sheriff paul babeu was headmaster at desisto school in massachusetts. a boarding school rife with abuse. a lot of things went down that probably shouldn't have. this isn't about abuse or neglect, because none of this was found. except these records show the state found it, students and parents testified about it, and a judge ordered it to stop. the cornering, the sheeting, i didn't know how to live and function as a normal human being.

turning our attention to politics this afternoon, someone has vandalized a donald trump billboard in phoenix, skyfox over the billboard at i-10 and i-17. you can see swastikas here on this sign in black spray paint it's unclear when this happened, but we do know the sign has now been covered up. well, the sign was vandalized just one day before the republican nominee is expected to visit arizona for the 6th time. >> we are talking about donald trump who is going to be in prescott valley tomorrow. the rally is being held at the big prescott valley events center. it starts at 2:00 p.m. the doors open at 11:00.

as you can see, not a whole lot going on. it's pretty much cleared out for now. the monsoon ended on friday, although we got a nice washing over the weekend, especially on sunday. take a look at some of these wind speeds. i have been getting some reports on facebook page, and if you would like to share as well on any facebook page, the wind speeds up in the high country, navajo reservation, 22 up in winslow, 26 in flagstaff. this is the time of year, i lived up in flagstaff for a this is the time of year when winds really start to pick up and you can really feel them. nice up there in the high country, 55 degrees at the grand canyon, 68 in sedona with the red rocks, all of you along the colorado river, 70s, 70s and 80s here across the valley, temperatures across the country pretty nice for the most part, although there are two areas of the country that we are watching in terms of storms. this area right here, next 24 hours or so, areas of montana

the southeast, let's talk about hurricane matthew for a quick moment. it was upgraded to a category 5 on friday but has backed off just a little bit now back to a four. it will reach haiti by this evening by 8:00 p.m., and then cuba also and the bahamas by tomorrow evening. it will cruise on through by thursday into friday we will find out whether or not hurricane matthew cruises on into florida, off the coast of possibly the carolinas or in fact, if it continues the atlantic. we are still waiting to see what happens in terms of that hurricane. forecasted highs we are looking at here across the state, 68 in page, 72 in kingman, 66 in prescott. that's where donald trump will have his appointment there tomorrow around 2:00. 83 here in phoenix. take a look at some of these forecasted lows, 26 at the grand canyon. that is pretty amazing. 32 in window rock, and show low over in the white mountains tonight forecasted lows looking at 30s, mid-30s.
