>> reporter: i did speak with one of the church administrators who is on scene. she said she spoke with a representative from the construction company trying to get an update on the critically injured workers. she was told it looks like they are starting to pull through and hopefully, they will recover from their injuries. a total of seven construction workers falling 16 feet after a truss gives away, critical injuries and five other workers suffered injuries as well. investigators are on scene trying to figure out how the accident happened. a man dies after being electrocuted after working at a commercial building this morning, 75th avenue and buckeye. we're told the man was an electrical contractor.

two babysitters are in jail after the baby in their care dies. the 5-month-old baby was left in the backseat of the car and was found dead. police say it is another reminder that temperatures inside a car can rise quickly. >> reporter: according to peoria police, the child's uncle and the picked up the child and left the child in the backseat of the car and parked in an uncovered parking space. when they realized what happened, it was far too late. 18-year-old jose garcia and 20-year-old monique avila told police they left the child in the car three to four hours. after they returned to the car,

>> we heard screaming and i saw the girl running and calling police. >> reporter: many people in the complex tried to help as the caretakers rushed the child back into their apartment. >> i tried to administer c.p.r. but the baby was already dead. the child was already dead. >> reporter: they were watching the child while the baby's mom was at work. they told police they forgot the child was in the b car. investigators say the temperature inside the car was as high as 104.9 degrees. >> that is heartbreaking because i have kids and i'm watching everything that they do. i have a 7-year-old and i'm like where is she at? a 5-month-old baby, i don't understand. >> reporter: co-workers of the child's mom have set up a go

found that cocaine was in the 4-month-old infant's body. the couple had been partying in night before. charges of child abuse and drug charges were dropped under the plea agreement. an infant rushed to the hospital in critical condition. rescue workers called to little world day care this morning for an unknown medical condition. the baby was taken to the hospital where police say the baby died. no foul play the suspected. police have a death investig after a woman's body is found in trash at a waste management facility. sky fox was over this this morning near 21st avenue and deer valley road. police have not released the woman's name or how she died. a fox follow-up tonight. we're getting a look at a man killed in a crash. the 19-year-old is facing charges, including manslaughter tonight.

back of a truck. he was in the truck bed with two other kids yesterday when he was hit by the pickup truck near 40th street and broadway. the two other kids were ok but the 19-year-old told police he had whiskey and a dozen beers and used cocaine in the hours leading up to the crash. tomorrow, the capital will be lit up in purple. event there were 107 known deaths related to domestic violence and children witness domestic violence ever 44 minutes. a big weekend loss for the fans now just wondering if the season, that just started, is already over that is the worry tonight. >> diamondbacks clean house firing two top managers.

a fox 10 traffic alert. fox 10's traffic alert. drivers along the 51 in central phoenix experiencing longer wait times at the entrance ramps. here is a live look at state 51 and highland. adot hopes this project will eventually help them shorten the commute times. >> in the meantime, drivers could be sitting at the red lights longer while everyone ie danielle miller is live with how this will work out. danielle, what is the read so far? >> reporter: john and kari, the meters started flashing at this time but it is a few seconds longer that the drivers can expect to wait here. the testing is beginning today and lasting for three weeks and adot is hoping drivers will be patient because in the long run this technology could help traffic.

the northbound threes enter the 51 can expect to wait a few seconds longer at the ramp meters. >> the goal is to see if technology can make it more efficient on state 51. >> reporter: they are predetermined by intervals and this new project will respond to traffic. >> the lights will adjust to the traffic on the highway and that is determined by what we call that finds out how many vehicles or the load of the freeway and the speed of the freeway that information gets to the metering system. if the freeway is approaching capacity then the metering system will hold traffic longer. >> reporter: on a two-lane entrance, drivers typically right 2.5 seconds during the red light. during this testing, you can

sheriff paul babeu was headmaster at desisto school in massachusetts. a boarding school rife with abuse. went down that probably shouldn't have. this isn't about abuse or neglect, because none of this was found. except these records show the state found it, students and parents testified about it, and a judge ordered it to stop. the cornering, the sheeting, i didn't know how to live and function as a normal human being. i'll end with that, thank you so much.
