there was an argument and the suspect opened fire while the victims drove off. if you know anything about him, you're asked to contact glendale police. >> sky fox was over a crash. a black toyota convertible crossed into the eastbound lanes and struck a fence. one person was ejected from a car. serious injuries in that case. another person suffered minor injuries. another bad crash this morning. hospital near 51st avenue and orangewood in glendale. the two cars collided and the jeep involved end up on its roof. one man involved broke his leg. hurricane matthew slammed into haiti with 140-mile an hour winds. this category four hurricane bringing flooding rains, at least seven people are dead. it is the strongest atlantic

haiti in 50 years. hurricane matthew is headed toward florida and the east coast the on high alert. >> a state of emergency declared in southeastern florida and south carolina are preparing to evacuate people if necessary. the governor of florida warning residents that the storm could make landfall as early as wednesday. a state of emergency is in effect for the entire state of florida resources for evacuations. >> if matthew directly impacts florida there will be massive destruction that we haven't seen in years. as a category four hurricane, matthew is life threatening with winds up to 145 miles an hour and significant amounts of rain. yesterday, irissued an executive order for the county. we are preparing for the worst

>> that is all you can do right now. matthew is the strongest hurricane to hit the region since 2007 when felix reached category five status and killed 145 people, most in nicaragua. flights being canceled to cuba and haiti because of hurricane matthew. several airlines extended their change fee waivers to cover delay and travel plans and people having to when there is nothing they can do about it. dozens of cruise ships have altered their itineraries because of this storm. >> they are still assessing the damage in haiti but a valley woman is stepping up to help out. linda williams joins us with more on her relief efforts. they haven't recovered from the earthquake. >> reporter: exactly, the earth quake in 2010.

and haiti, we're worlds apart in distance and culture but there is a valley woman who has a special connection to the nation. she is doing what she can to help out during the crisis. several valley groups, church, as well as the city of chandler is pitching in and helping out. pictures of hope village children's home in haiti, an orphanage founded by a of chandler following the devastating earthquake in 2010. >> my church has partnered with me to start going there. we go to see the children. >> reporter: ellis and volunteers from desert springs church in chandler are scheduled to leave for haiti saturday. despite video from haiti that shows widespread devastation, the team of volunteers says they are still going. >> right now, they are saying there could be as much as

a strange story out of strange story out of maricopa. as i was saying, strange story out of maricopa where a naked and bloody man was spotted roaming around a neighborhood. >> several people saw this guy in their yards and the trail of blood he left behind before he was arrested. you can imagine how unsettling this is. danielle danielle with what he told police. >> reporter: this man ran through several yards and he went inside one of the houses here. they are telling us when he was arrested, he told police when he does stuff like this, this is when he is normally smoking spice. police were called to west

running through the neighborhood. >> a 12-year-old was bringing in the cats and she told her father who called 911. we responded. >> reporter: once police were on scene, they discovered this man had ran through several backyards, even running through someone's house and breaking their window. >> we knew he entered at least four backyards. there is one that he entered the house and exited through the >> reporter: police caught up with him in someone's front yard. he was naked and bloody. he told police every time i smoke spice this happens. >> the whole incident is something different from what we usually have but we're glad nobody got hurt. we are glad the individual who saw something in the beginning >> reporter: police tell us that he has been arrested on similar charges in the past.

85 degrees for the high. we have 93 and 70 for the normal high an low. record high, 103. record low at 46. this is what we're forecasting for tomorrow. it is going to be pretty much like today. a little warmer by a few degrees. you can see 87 forecast out in mesa. 88 in chandler. things are warming up a little bit over the next couple of days. 67 in payson. 70 in prescott. 61 in nice-looking temperature. mid 60's in show low. 91 the forecast in yuma. looking across the country, this is where we're seeing big changes and we're seeing winter weather with winter storm weather and advisories across montana. you can see all of the snow coming in, up to 6 inches. at the bottom end of the storm system, we have tornado warnings.

it might be my kids' favorite holiday. the countdown to halloween is under way and here is a staggering statistic. americans are going to spend more than $3 billion on costumes this year. i contributed. 67% of people surveyed plan to buy a new costume. more than 171 million people expected to take part in some type of halloween activity.
