this is something i think a lot of people will agree with. u.s. olympic medallists will no longer have to pay a victory tax, thanks to a bill signed by president obama. the u.s. olympic committee gives cash prize to medallists with the gold prize being worth $25,000, but under that new bill the irs will no longer be allowed to tax medals or most the tax will still apply to athletes earning more than $1 million a year. sarah thomas did not stop swimming or get out of the water for nearly two and a half days. the swim qualified her for an unassisted marathon swim. she said it was such a grueling swim it was difficult to walk afterward because her feet and body were shaky.

and with carson palmer out of the game last night due to a concussion, and backup drew stanton starting with very little time to prepare, the game plan was simple.
10:27 pm
david johnson. we knew the plan. you knew the plan. the 49ers knew the plan. but it didn't matter. johnson gashed the san francisco defense that ranked last in the league against the run, rushing for a season high, 157 yards on 27 carries he found the end zone twice. head coach bruce arians, while he praises his running back sometimes, he also offered up a little criticism for the second year runner. >> don't neces dave get it 30 times a game, but when you do that much with it, he's got to tap out. but it's a long season. you don't want to wear him out early. he had some deficiencies in this game. he left another hundred yards out there, and the same damn pass route that he screwed up in the red zone, he did it again. but i'm changing the name of that play so he can't screw it up anymore.
10:28 pm
extra yards. i have him in my fantasy team. cubs and giants, baez in the top of the 8th, hits this one deep, wind blowing in wrigley but it's enough to get out of here, 1-0 cubby. but things could get a little bit interesting, bill murray, he loves it, chicago through and through. bottom of the ninth, runner on second, two out, aroldis chapman, one of the best closers in the game, to second, baez is out, they lead 1-0. dodgers, game one, a tough day, sieger in the top of the first, that's out of here. that will silence the home crowd. more dodger offense this time, utley rips this one back up the middle. another run will come around to
10:29 pm
we stay in the third, justin turner is going to get a hold of this one, it's deep to left, would it be enough? jason worth just can't make the catch. the dodgers win this 14-3. -- 4-3. a.s.u. taking on ucla in tempe. and a couple of other notes, suns lose in booker 34 points, impressive. >> all right. going to be a busy weekend then. going to be fun. all right. thanks you guys. thank you for watching. coming up next, modern family, fox 10 news will be back tomorrow morning.
