at 10:00, oh, yeah, much more on the cardinals and the sun devils, that's later. right now it's back to the news crew. fox 10 news at 10:00 starts now. this is a fox 10 news alert. and a head-on crash near 59th avenue and camelback as our news alert tonight. it has sent four people to the hospital. you can see from skyfox it is a terrible crash here, those cars are mangled. we understand that a firefighter had to cut four patients from that car using the jaws of life. they are all in critical two of those patients we are told, teenage girls. crews say the driver of the truck did stay on scene and is in police custody. they do tell us that impairment is suspected in the crash. the intersection is closed down right now and will be for several more hours. it is not clear what led to the crash, if someone ran a red light. police are on the scene investigating. we will keep you updated as we learn more on this. thanks for being with us tonight for fox 10 news at 10:00.

discontinuing and recalling its galaxy note 7 phones that are known to catch fire and explode, and in an unprecedented move, starting tomorrow the phones will be bans from all u.s. airplanes. stefania okolie is live at the airport. >> reporter: who would have thought that one day a certain type of cell phone would be banned from an airplane? now the government says that they have had it. they are not taking any with these potentially explosive galaxy note 7s, especially since the recalled phones and the replacement ones were still causing problems for those owner. now, starting tomorrow people who still have that galaxy note 7, if you plan on flying somewhere here in the u.s., you are going to have some issues. we all know that we are addicted and glued to our phones but starting tomorrow you won't be able to bring them anywhere near

people across the nation, nearly a hundred have overheated, some causing some intense property damage. tuesday the south korean manufacturer decided to stop all sales of the galaxy note 7 permanently for consumer safety. now the department of transportation and the f.a.a. say they want them off all planes permanently as well. passengers think that's a good idea. >> yeah, that seems fair, yeah. it's just, yeah, absolutely, yeah, no, you cannot travel with this. >> taylor has a galaxy edge. when she heard the news, there was a bit of concern. >> she was just gosh, there's a recall. is this your phone? like it's not safe, you travel so much. and i was just like, okay, let me look, and i looked it up, and i was like, no, mom, i'm good thanks. >> reporter: today we learned passengers won't be allowed to board with it. they can't put it on carry-ons or checked baggage. officials say it is too dangerous. they say, quote, we recognize that banning these phones from

a vent and then tried to hang herself. police did not find the woman until after a 30-minute drive town to a southern command station south of downtown phoenix. >> it affects the officers that approach, the ones that arrive, the ones that actually discovered her and tried their best to implement those lifesaving measures. we are thoroughly investigating if there's anything else that we might learn or need to do definitely. >> we are told that the woman is in critical condition at the hospital. the family says that they do not expect her to survive. the ex-husband told police he believes she was suicidal and he does plan to take legal action. earlier this month, seven construction workers were installing trusses at the heart cry church. that is near the hunt highway.

those workers fell about 16 feet. this accident was just one of eight alleged violations that caused the heart contracting company license to be removed. there will be a hearing on that suspension set for october 24th. quite a few people upset after they get word that glendale consignment store suddenly closed. many say that they haven't been able to get their belongings back. the owner of the shop near arrowhead mall did not renew a release and the store is closing on monday. today an employee opened the store so people could go this and get their belongings. >> people were wanting to get their things, so out of the goodness of my heart i decided to come down to the store and open it so people could get things. i no longer have a job, no. i don't know what's going to happen from here on out. >> we were not able to get hold
