now at nine. the now at 9:00, the sun -- the uncertain future for execution in the state. why the state is promising not to use lethal injections drugs anymore. what has scientists more sure that a massive and destructive earthquake. the presidential candidates making their final stand in sin city and this time, what happens in vegas, doesn't stay in vegas. was their final push enough to capture undecided voters tonight? with three weeks before the election, everything is on the line for donald trump and hillary clinton. >> let's go to john hook who is
12:01 am
john? >> reporter: kari, i will tell you, i don't think there was in knockout punches. hillary clinton held court. donald trump had a better performance from debate one and probably debate two. they had interesting exchanges, one of them over who has the right stuff to run the country. >> you were very much involved in every aspect of this country, very m over me is experience but it is bad experience because what you have done has turned out badly. for 30 years, you have been in the position to help. i wouldn't mind. the problem is you talk but you don't get anything done, hillary. >> you know, back in the 1970's, i worked for the children's

election if he were to lose this would break with all tradition in more than politics and this head to a sharp exchange. >> i want to ask you here on this stage tonight, do you make the same commitment that you will, sir, you will accept the results of the election? >> i will look at it at the time. if you look at the voter rolls, you will see millions of people registered to vote, this coming from me, there are millions of people registered to vote that shouldn't be registered to vote. i will tell you at the time. i will keep you in suspense. >> chris, let me respond to that because that is horrifying. every time donald thinks things are not going in his direction, he claims whatever it is rigged against him.
12:04 am
americans care about that but that's going to be a big, big story and it has led to a firestorm in the twitterverse about donald trump being a sore loser and preparing to lose and they think he is doing that. i don't think so. i think donald trump thinks he is pull a rabbit out of his hat but early voting starts in nevada on saturday. he is trailing in many of battle ground states and nationally, he is trailing by five or six. he needs something to happen in the next three weeks and i don't know if there is an event that might give him that. >> i think donald trump, some of his followers and supporters feel it is a possibility. i'm hearing good things about the moderator, chris wallace keeping it down to policy and it cook some of the oxygen out of

unpredictability out. >> reporter: i think that is a great observation. if donald trump needed a knockout punch, maybe unseeming to knock hillary clinton off of her game. the way chris wallace approached the debate, didn't give him the opportunity. he really moved them along. he kept them on point and i think the voters got a a lot out of this debate. we finally talked and deficit. it took to the end of debate number three to get there. we talked about immigration. a lot of issues that got short shriff. >> you were the only reporter to go to all three debates. we will check back with you in the newscast for more debate coverage. >> reporter: see you in a bit. >> many people tuning into the

12:07 am
drug. we are look at what this could mean tpo*efing -- moving forward. >> reporter: the argument was not strung enough for the judge. the hearing was scheduled not long after hearing ohio has a supply and plans to resume executions in january. the controversial drug has been in question since the botched executions of several inmates, including here in arizona. the state promised, as y not to use it in the future and said the argument over the drug was moot because they have no way to get it anyways. meanwhile, in states like ohio, mississippi, arkansas, and alabama, they have a supply so there was a concern if arizona could get ahold of it, too, to resume executions. the judge did not accept the state's argument that will they won't use the drug.
12:08 am
of executions for arizona. >> what does the state that we won't use the drug really mean? what if that changes if there is a new director for the department of corrections? what does that mean if there is a new attorney general? what does that mean if there is at different governor? what does it really mean if we wake up tomorrow and say it is a whole new world? >> reporter: as of now, all executions will be on until january to come back with revisions. what will they use to execute inmates? we'll hear from him on the argument from the attorneys for the inmates. months after a serial shooter terrorizes the valley, police are still looking for the gunman. there were nine shootings in five months and seven were
