anita roman, "fox 10 news." all trucks with phoenix and glendale fire come equipped with the fido bag. >> to gilbert where one person was hurt in a train crash that hand at cooper and guadalupe. luckily there were only minor injuries and as you can see it looks like the accident was between the train and the black car. no word what caused that crash but the intersection has re-opened tonight. and in a fox follow-up, an avondale man pleads not guilty clown threat on-line toward westview high school. police say earlier this month 18-year-old alonso vargas posted a screen shot of a clown on instagram with text threatening to hurt students and staff at the school. he reportedly told police that it was a joke. he is facing charges including threatening and intimidating. people from north phoenix protest at the capital today asking the governor to move a re-entry center for felons out of their neighborhood. they don't want it there.

danielle miller is live tonight with the story for us. >> nearly 176,000 early ballots have been turned in. obviously a lot of other people will be heading out to the polls on election day. now today we sat down with the secretary of state michele reagan. she was telling us going into a little more detail on some of the measures that are put in place to make sure all of the votes are protected and everything is working properly. >> we test the touch screen machines, too. so when you are p screen and you are pressing a name, that is actually who is casting the vote for. >> arizona secretary of state michele reagan going over the procedures in place to make sure the voting process is fair and protected. she says staff members from her office go around to all 15 counties and test polling equipment. >> we run actually test elections on the equipment to make sure that if it's supposed to be saying 15 votes it says 15 votes.

are in place like voter id laws among many others. >> arizona has a law which some states don't have which is that you need to have -- we need a paper trail of all ballots cast. this is a really good law in the sense that if someone is using one of those touch screen machines, it's also recording on paper what that vote was. >> after the machines are tested, they are set back to zero and sealed until election until then via web cameras. >> get to those links through our website which is called arizona.vote. on arizona.vote. we have the links to all 15 counties and you are able to find out anything from that website. new polling place, links to all of the counties and then the links to all of the live camera feeds. >> and reagan says typically at every polling place there should be a marshal.

vehicle near 7th avenue and mcdowell. a driver got out of the -- at the intersection there and fired into the other car. the driver in that car had an 18 month old in the back seat were not hurt. two officers were inside that chipotle restaurant right there at the intersection and they managed to take the suspect into custody. they heard the gunshots. we will have the latest on this on "fox 10 news" tonight at 10:00. investigators in gilbert determined the huge fire that destroyed a complex under construction last weekend was th tonight there is a reward up to $30,000 being offered for information that may lead to an arrest. the flames burned eight buildings to the ground. right near gilbert and guadalupe roads. detective says this week they would like to talk to a young man who was wearing a maroon asu sweatshirt. he was said to be in that area around the time of the fire. damages estimated at $10 million. at this hour family and
