get us on the move. in fact, as you just mentioned, we are going to be pushing well into the upper 90s. it would be great to break free with some of that weather that we see moving across california. unfortunately a huge area of high pressure is going to keep itself locked over our heads through the weekend, and that will keep our temperatures in the big zone, so lows tonight, well, it would be nice to see temperatures like that during the daytime, but unfortunately here are your daytime temps. how did we get wind speeds there? what i'm getting -- oh, let's see. this is what we call a lull in the show, when cory is searching around for whatever he did with those daytime highs. but anyway, what i'm getting at is we'll see about 98 this afternoon, and we'll have the full forecast coming your way here in just a couple of minutes you two. >> all right, cory. thank you. new at noon, take a look at this, fire at a tempe brewery and restaurant. skyfox over the scene within the last half hour or so.

a pizza oven at 5th street and mill avenue. that's just a couple of blocks from sun devil stadium. firefighters were scene on the roof along with some smoke. nearby businesses were evacuated. the fire is now out. a tempe man who posed as a military veteran not serve any jail time. his name is eric wolf, and he will probation, apparently using his fake veteran status to steal from businesses and other groups. just before a jury was going to be convict him, 44-year-old ptrick pina was at the maricopa county courthouse yesterday. he was being tried on drug charges. when the court went into recess, he just took off. the judge has now issued a warrant for his arrest. a man shooting and killing

were called to hardy and university at 2:00 a.m. this morning. police think it was some sort of drug deal gone bad. two other men in custody out in verrado. it ended with shots fired. the victim was robbed at gunpoint. the suspect fired his weapon. no one was hit. he fled the scene with another man. police arrested gallegos and bean in relation to to that case. about to get a major will look a lot different after $24 million worth of renovation. these two men will not be part of the construction. there is the new arizona center. >> those are some new digs. how about that. >> that place was happening when i moved here in the early '90s. >> then cityscape moves in

at noon with troy hayden and syleste rodriguez. construction worker is rescued after he gets trapped in a hole in l.a., about two feet in diameter and 50 feet deep. he was placed on a stretcher and taken right to the hospital. it looks like he is going to be okay. >> the u.s. coast guard makes a big drug bust off the coast of central america. they seized a small submarine carrying about cocaine. it has a street value of more than $73 million. five people were arrested. subway passengers in boston have to break through windows of a train after a train's engine overheats. some panicked people, so filled with smoke, and can you imagine if you're stuck in one of these cabins and the doors won't open up. you can see people breaking through the windows and pushing through the doors. the transportation authority says the doors were closed

today may push us into that number two spot, maybe even number one. but anyway, 91 already at sky harbor, and we are not even nearly done with the day. 98 would be the number to tie. we'll see if we get there, but we are certainly rushing up toward it as we check out the rest of your world. here's the way things look as you look across arizona. those thin clouds, as i was talking about this morning, they have now started to move over the state. so there's a hazy sunshine going on out there. we do have weather across northern california and up into oregon and washington, far it looks like the real weather is going to stay well to the north of us. this big area of high pressure is going to keep us very, very warm as we move through the day and tomorrow. and in fact i think we'll still be in the 90s on sunday, so be prepared for that. we put the futurecast in motion for u. we'll sort of dance in and out of these clouds over the next 48 hours. unfortunately the weather we'd love to see is probably not going to be, not even probably,

as we head into the weekend. but we are already into the 80s to low 90s in most desert parts of the state, 70s in the mountains, a perfect 68 now in flagstaff, and the valley temps are perfect if you love it warm. 94 in fountain hills and cave creek, 91 in glendale with the good guys and gals out there at luke air force base, and 92 degrees out wickenburg way. around the rest of the country, you know, they saw snow today in central new york. that's right. ithaca, up there in and syracuse, they also caught some snowfall. so upstate new york was a trouble spot for sure, and in fact they are still getting kind of a mess up weather there, the snow still flying, pushing over into both vermont and new hampshire, and on the south side of all of this we have got showers on the move as well, a few thunderstorms pushing through northeastern pennsylvania, scranton is getting a pretty good thunderstorm right now. as you move farther to the west, this is what we would love to see. unfortunately we are going to be

clouds, and again the big heat for today and tomorrow is still looking pretty warm today. so here's your look at this afternoon, 93 for lake havasu city, about 76 up at window rock, page at 73, and again upper 90s for the valley here tonight. we fall into the mid-40s in flagstaff and about 68 down in tuscon. here's the rest of that forecast as we move through the weekend. well, sunday, just to spite me, it looks like it may dip into the upper0s you we'd see about 90. anyway --. >> that's fine though. that's good. >> 80s all next week, all the way through. do you guys have more show left? i'll stick around. cubs and indians are now tied at one game apiece and getting ready for game 3.

it's not uncommon for autistic kids to flap their hands. and so when i saw that, that was completely disqualifying. i'm a republican, but this election is so much bigger my son max can't live in trump world. so i'm crossing party lines and voting for hillary. i don't always agree with her, but she's reasonable. and she's smart. she can work with people to solve problems. i want to be able to tell my kids that i did the right thing when it really mattered.
