signs that he put up have been caught some of those people in the act. after some of his signs vanished, he decided to set up video cameras and one of the cameras shows a man walking on base line road near 36th street. as he approaches that campaign sign he walks right into it and set up the sign in the median on base line road and again they were either taken or damaged and he was able to get these photos of someone taking the signs and driving off. now all of the in support of donald trump or sheriff joe arpaio. >> first a man gave everybody opportunity to express their opinion on anything. so it's like hillary -- if somebody likes hillary is fine with me. i have the right to put out my sign and not to be moved. >> and stealing or damaging campaign signs can be considered a crime in arizona.

north dakota where police and soldiers have removed hundreds of protesters from a camp onland that is owned by the developer of the dakota access pipeline. >> we are here to pray. >> a state leader says law enforcement fired non-lethal beanbag rounds and used pepper spray on the demonstrators and as you saw there earlier in the day protesters set a fire as authorities moved in. and wasn't a big fire but more than a dozen people have now been arrested. protesters refused to leave on their own from that camp yesterday. native american tribes want to block the pipeline to the project. they say that sacred grounds will be destroyed and that drinking water supplies could be harmed. the army is reviewing their concerns. the feds ordered construction to be temporarily halted but the governors of three states where that pipeline would stretch they say they want the government to allow the project to move

reward has increased for information about the death of a salt river wild horse. an extra $2,500 from the humane society is now on the table for anybody who knows details about the suspect who shot that horse to death. it was last friday that foal named kai was killed and body was mutilated. two other horses were shot. total amount in the reward money for information leading to arrest is now at $6,000. the former i-10 freeway shooting suspects has been arrest he is accused of violating a domestic order of protection and making threats towards a woman. leslie merritt, jr. was originally arrested back in september of last year. he spent seven months in jail. but a judge later dismissed his case over questions about ballistics evidence. dps still believes merritt is the freeway shooter. merritt has filed a lawsuit against the state of arizona and maricopa county attorney bill montgomery.

for arizona. phoenix has shattered a heat record today at 100 degrees at the yin of october breaking the previous record of 98 for this date and people in some parts of the country are bundling up but not us here. out at tomorrow chk -- tom chk farms. and they might have a light sweater on. tomorrow through sunday they are holding the az field of screams haunted corn maze and on monday that's hallowe 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with candy stations throughout that farm. one of the co-owners talked today about the heat. >> it's hot. i've had it. it's very hot. what should we do? >> i don't know how the pumpkins are holding up. >> the pumpkins are doing okay because we have them in the shade and as long as you keep them in a cool dry place out of the direct sunlight they do okay. >> yeah, and people in fact making a splash today over at

it's a nice place to cool off under the hot sun. they vlt heated pools. you might be among those wishing to be wearing your sweaters and boots right now, but maybe a little longer before we can bust out our winter clothing and as the heat wave continues, there are sightings of rattlesnakes out and about. here is a picture that shows a large rattle snake there coiled around the top of a pumpkin on someone's yard. talk to somebody over at the herpetological society says this weather is rattlesnakes to be out so she warned you keep an eye out for them. >> a lot of people are hoping this will cool down. dave munsey is tracking the forecast for us and joins us live now with a look at the weather and what it's going to be like. lot going on with this weather a lot happening today as a matter of fact. let's take a look at the informaion as it rolls out here. we are looking at, of course, 100-degree temperature. the latest 100-degree temperature ever.

100-degree temperature was october 23 in 2003. and october 2016, 90 degrees or warmer, 23 straight days. here is the old record, 98. that back in 2001. and the 99th time that we hit 100-degrees in 2016. and now take a look at it. yeah, we will have some more 90s to add on to that. we have 90s right through sunday. sunday the day before halloween at halloween and what's going on there. temperatures drop off dramatically getting us into halloween. by 5:00. 0 degrees. by 7:00 p.m. 78 degrees. and then sleepy time at 9:00 at 74 degrees. so those temperatures will come back into the 80s for highs on monday. we will have the ten day forecast for you in just a few minutes. all right, thank you. well, with temps hitting 100 degrees and halloween just

the, go to facebook.com/phoenix. this monday on halloween, the commute home expected to be frightful. arizona department of transportation says a lot of drivers are expected to leave work early to get home in time for trick or treating or other frightening festivities. adot workers suggest you avoid driving in heavy afternoon traffic between 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. they call this the witching hour. they are asking drivers to take it slow and keep an eye out for trick or >> well, now to our shopping center and office complex in downtown phoenix is getting a major makeover. $25million in upgrades is being planned for the arizona center. it's a group called the parallel capital partners that plans to break ground on this state of the art facility here. they say they want to do it by early next year. the plans call for giving the new space a more modern look with more entertainment retail and office space. along with new landscaping, light fixtures and shade structures. let's take a look at this

software. you are probably familiar with that arizona center if you have been in downtown phoenix surrounded by the aps building and not far from the sheridon. chase feel. it's a popular spot and you can see with the 3-d that green area and trees there. it's a lot of people go out there to enjoy that. it's going to have a much different look. we are told they are going to update the space and we look forward to seeing what it will look like. they expect that to be done sometime in the next year or so. google announces it will open a hub for cars in chandler. the company has been testing the cars in the valley for the last six months learning how they handle extreme heat and dust storms. operation leads and drivers will expand their testing throughout the phoenix metro area. crews have begun ren1r5eu9ing the new -- renovating the new facility. they should be done by early next year. changes are coming to twitter as the social media site looks to broaden its appeal to attract advertisers. twitter is immediately shutting

arrested... for causing a disruption in the entire phoenix metro 9-1-1 system! disruption in the entire an 18-year-old has been arrested. he was arrested on three counts of computer tampering. on tuesday surprise police received more than 100, 911 hangup calls. that suspect was behind a twitter page that made his followers call 911 without being able to hang up. the suspect said he created that bug because he thought it would

big trouble for that. a man learns his punishment for having a meth lab in the home he shared with his girlfriend who also served as a political fundraiser for arizona senator john mccain. christopher will spend four years behind bars and then four years of supervised probation. back in april, the detectives raided the home he shared with his girlfriend. they say they found a meth lab, a marijuana growing operation, heroin and lsd and 250 grams of ecstasy in signed for and $7,000 in cash and counterfeit money. the mccain campaign severed ties after her arrest. l.a. police say they arrested a man who admitted to destroying donald trump's star on the walk of fame. he used a sledge hammer on the plaque. otis told reporters he originally planned to remove the star and he said he was going to auction it off to raise funds for the winl aqueuesing trump of

the weather making the news today. >> getting up there. the latest 100 we ever had as we mentioned, october 23rd, the other latest that we had that we beat the record on. so temperatures are coming down for halloween, however. going to come down that very day come down very nicely. 96 deges we don't have any wind to speak of at this hour. but other numbers will be 92 degrees at deer valley. 88 degrees in apache junction. still 95 in mesa. 93 in glendale. and now look at this moisture coming up. where is it coming from? it's coming from seymour which is a failing hurricane but pushing cloud cover up into arizona and pushing moisture up into california.

los angeles there. really getting a hit of moisture. still a little breezy over in globe. that's about it. we go to 100 degrees on the high today. at 99 in glendale. 99 at goodyear and 99 in chandler. and gateway as well. other numbers that we have, 84 at winslow. 86 in sedona. 88 at lake havasu city. 93 in gila bend. tucson get warm today as well at 97 degrees. there is your high 70 for the morning low. 84 and 60 are your normal high and low. there is your record high of 98. your record low at 39. looking at the forecast. yeah, bringing it down tomorrow. we go down from 100 to 92 and you can see some corresponding numbers. we do see numbers as high as the mid-90s out there as well. and we will be looking at 80s and a few 70s and 60s in the forecast highs for the northern country.

desert. little bit of moisture coming into the northwest. we saw -- we showed you the stuff right here coming into california. and some of that is high elevation snow that we are seeing. we are seeing good snow across areas of new england. some areas picking up a foot of snow in the early snowstorms that we are seeing. a lot of that stuff will be gone and then they will get more snow later on. in fact look at new york at 57 degrees today. 48 up in boston. another 48 in detroit. as you head south. you run into some 80s. in fact, 82 in atlanta today. they had 69 in bismarck. and 58 up in seattle. overnight 74 degrees. 92 degrees for tomorrow. and take a look at it here and these 90s hang with us but there is halloween. 83 degrees. see a little cloud cover there for you there mid-60s overnight. watch your kids around water.

panthers were the best the nfc had to offer. finishing with a 15-1 record. but this year, not so much. the panthers have flat out struggled. the numbers don't lie. look at carolina's record. cam and his crew are 1-5 on the year so far. cam newton has been under pressure all year long. he has been sacked a bunch and has been hurt. first it was his leg and then his head. newton suffered a concussion against the falcons and actually missed the team's nex against the buccaneers. newton loves to run the ball and takes more contact than most quarterbacks but newton plans to keep playing the way he has been since day one. >> that's who i am. i will prefer to be involved in the game. i know as a panthers that's our edge. if certain things that i look at quarterbacks around the league and say, dang, i wish i could do that. but my edge is running the football inside the tackle. when someone tries to take that
