red cross volunteers are on the scene in avondale where three mobile homes caught fire today this much is over near highway 85 in main street. fire crews will be helping the 15 people affected by the blaze. they are going to be assessing damages and providing shelter and other emergency needs for those three families. still no word on what started this fire and no word on any -- >> a threat of a possible bomb device caused a huge scottsdale. an apartment complex and several government buildings were evacuated. >> thankfully it turned out to be a false alarm but for awhile everyone's nerves were on edge. courtney griffin was there. >> i had the police officer knock on my door and i could tell it was fairly urgent by the extensiveness. >> several people along 75 street and miller in scottsdale were evacuated after police

terminal 3. nobody was hurt. no word on what the unattended item turned out to be. everyone else on the roadways have been re-opened. photo radar cameras at three different intersections will be reactivated on tuesday. these cameras at the intersection of arizona avenue and warner road will be reactivated. cameras at arizona avenue and ocotillo will be reactivated and there will be new cameras at the ray. these cameras will be looking out for speeding and red light runners. some may say that this may not be the most typical wedding location, but, yes, you get married at the harley-davidson of scottsdale. we will see why because teresa and ted are the first couple to get marry there had. their one-year anniversary is coming up and the motorcycle dealer are running a special promotion. anyone who buys a new or used harley can get married in the

i'm tom o'halleran, and i approve this messsage. paul babeu oversaw a place of horrors as headmaster of a school for at-risk youth. students were denied basic human rights and were subject to sexual abuse. arizona deserves better. arizona's largest newspapers endorse tom o'halleran for congress. tuesday marks dia de los tuesday marks the dia de los muertos and keep it cut is offering free hair cuts on that day. all you have to do is show up with a sugar skull to get the free hair cut. dia de los muertos is a holiday celebrate the lives of family members who have passed away. the holiday is celebrated with alters with -- altars with offerings like food, flowers and those sugar sculls. there are three locations. there is one in phoenix, one in tempe as well as one in ahwatukee. as we know halloween brings treats and unfortunately tricks as well. statistically crime rates spike on halloween compared to other consumer holidays as do accidents. >> local law enforcement says

scary. and anita roman has tips from police on how to stay safe. >> more than 41 million trick or treaters went door to door last halloween nationwide. even more are expected this year. >> my favorite part is the full-sized candy bars. >> i love eating candy. >> for kids it's about the treats. adults on the other hand are looking for tricks and the dangers that could be lurking in the dark. a recent study indicates twice as many child pedestrians are killed on halloween night tha 77 percent of parents report feeling fearful around halloween. 31% of those worry about a child being hit by a car or truck. 24% worry about poisoning from tampered or spoiled treats. 15% worry about abductions and 4% worry about falls. >> we are asking adults to be aware of who belongs in your neighborhood on halloween that's really hard to do. >> sergeant jaime rothschild where silent witness vigilance

there are other dangers your pets could face on a halloween evening. >> here we have a bowl of potentially dangerous items. we have chocolate candy and glow sticks which are toxic to dogs they could chew or swallow that are fun to have around. we have them on decorations but we have to keep things like this up and out of access. >> keep your candy and decorations as she just said up high. so -- >> makes sense. >> absolutely. she just demonstrated how to do that. >> and don't want pets to get them. the phoenix herpetological society wants to remind you to be careful about snakes. not to walk or reach into an area that you can't see. again you are advised to not remove a rattlesnake yourself. 80 to 90% of rattlesnake bites happen when you try to deal with the snake yourself.
