>> one thing about kristy, if she is going to be outdoors, she likes things nice. rain pushing across arizona, pretty close to the valley in some spots. here's the way things look now. if you head up the 17 by the way you are going to find things to be very, very busy, up around anthem, really from anthem northward through black canyon city, new river and so forth, it's really coming down. so heads-up, if you are near lake pleasant or north of say up to around crown king, you are in for a dose of very, very strong range. otherwise, as you head farther to the east, man is it coming down in the rim country. christopher creek taking a beating right now, and payson you want to keep your eyes to the eastern skies as well, because this storm is just heading straight out 260, so it's going to be on your doorstep before very long. so there is plenty of rain to go around. the rainfall totals, the thing about this particular morning,

hospital with life-threatening injuries. police are questioning the suspect. one person is killed, another badly hurt in a crash this morning involving a city bus. the bus, a car, and a pickup truck collided on southern avenue near 46th street. all of the passengers are off the bus. we saw one person being cut out of the pickup truck and then being put into an ambulance. southern was shut down for hours this morning as police collected some of the evidence there. well, here we are, the homestretch. it's almost over, but the election is five days away. republicans and continuing their full court recess here into arizona, trying to sway undecided voters because most think that arizona is still in play. >> well, today vice presidential candidate tim kaine is here in the valley. steve krafft live on the phone with what's on his agenda today. good afternoon, steve. >> reporter: hey, guys, tim kaine is in maryvale today in west phoenix. he's going to be holding a rally a little bit later on this afternoon, and this is

entirely this spanish. he is a fluent spanish speaker. that's a major asset politically to hillary clinton who is reaching out to latino voters nationwide, and one of the things tim kaine does is go to places where people are more comfortable in spanish and to explain what he regards as her appeal to be president and doing it in fluent spanish. he is at sort of a community center here at 51st avenue near appearing here, and then he is going to be visiting a local business. i have seen the mariachi band just came here to the event. secret service is sweeping the area. we are going to go inside within maybe the next half hour or so, and tim kaine will be speaking a little bit later on. last night it was the hillary clinton reaching out to voters at a.s.u. today it's tim kaine reaching out to spanish speakers in west phoenix. reporting live, steve krafft,

on the republican side, donald trup, jr., you remember he was in the valley a week ago. did you see the pictures of him pushing the woman's car out of the street, pulled over? >> yeah, very cool. >> now we are learning his making a return trip here to the valley, to phoenix, campaigning for his father. he'll be holding a rally in downtown gilbert water tower in gilbert, the event b >> campaigning for arizona senator john mccain, who is running against democratic congresswoman ann kirkpatrick. the event will take place at 6:30 at sloan park in mesa at the chicago cubs spring training facility. >> and that's a happy place today. >> yeah. >> anybody who works there or may be just fans driving by, because fans of the cubs are savoring a very sweet victory. >> and how sweet it is, after 108 years, the cubs win the

with troy hayden and syleste rodriguez. >> welcome back. well, a woman is struck and killed in chandler while crossing the street. skyfox over arizona avenue and palomino just south of elliot. the crash happening in front of a bus stop, and police say it looks like she was hit by both a car as well as a truck. power is back on in a section of downtown phoenix this afternoon. it was knocked out this morning in a strange accident. a semi came too close to the curb here, van buren shut down from 17th to 15th avenue, forcing downtown drivers to take other streets to get to work. it is happening again, valley voters waiting in long lines at the polls, this time to take part in early voting. this is video from early yesterday. so many voters here had to wait up to two hours. the county recorder says there were long lines in tempe,

>> people were a little bit upset. some were joking around, having a good time, dealing with it as best they could, others were upset and complaining and what not, so it was a variety. >> it took a little bit longer than i expected. there were probably about 70 people here, taking probably about four minutes per person, so it took a little over four hours. >> more workers and equipment were sent to help, and extra staff will be on hand at several polling locations tomorrow, which is the voting. to get to the best airport in the entire u.s., you don't have to go very far at all. sky harbor airport here in phoenix ranked number one by the point guys.com. it got tops for being close to down, having free wi-fi, and having fewer delays in cancellations. the weather here is pretty good. the worst airports, you're probably not shocked if you have flown into these, new york's laguardia, newark, and jfk

overcrowding. caught on camera here in phoenix, a man walking out of a home depot with a couple of chain saws. imagine that. the pictures so good he shouldn't be hard to recognize. we have new video for you at noon. police say this guy stole a couple of chain saws last month from the home depot in phoenix at i-17 and thunderbird. he took the chain saws off the shelf, ran out, and threatened to shooter the manager when asked to call phoenix police or silent witness. you can remain anonymous at this number, 480-witness. still to come here on fox 10 news at noon, an update on a bear perched in a tree outside a courthouse in minnesota. there's the bear. >> maybe he's looking for a good view. >> that would be a nice one up there. a scary sight caught on camera, a little boy in a toy car going up against some real

we'll take a look at the radar, push through the state here, 81 at sky harbor, winds gusty out of the northeast at 18 miles an hour, it will continue to be a breezy day for sure, boy, the rain just keeps pushing in, generally from southeast to northwest across the state, so kind of keep your eyes to those southeastern skies. that's where all of the action will be coming from, but it keeps popping up down here a little bit south of kits peak, another collection of thunderstorms on they will continue to work their way towards the valley, they are not done yet, that's for sure. folks in the mountains may have some very heavy rain ahead of you. as i mentioned earlier these showers are moving so fast that they are not able to put down a whole lot of rain. they are not staying in any spot for too long. things have quieted down in the valley, up the 17 it will get

crossing over the interstate a little bit south of crown king. we have got some very heavy weather going, also north of new river, we have got a thunderstorm crossing over the highway there as well, and boy, you get up into the rim country, just east of payson, it is pouring. folks in payson, there is a very strong storm between you and christopher creek, heading into town. keep your eyes on the east. you'll be hearing the thunder before too long, all part of a complex of storms that stretches nearly up to winslow up there on the mogollon plateau, so it is going to be busy not just in the rim country but also over in the white mountains too. there is plenty to go around, and it is all again moving quickly to the north and west. so we'll keep an eye on all of this. as far as the rainfall totals go, not so much, as i said. they are moving so quickly, they are not dropping or having time, anyway, to drop a whole lot of

futurecast first. we'll give you a look. this is important too. what we can expect here over the next 48 hours. as we get to dinnertime and beyond tonight. we still expect to see this rain pushing out of the same real estate in southeastern arizona, and it's going to be heavy at times here in the very early hours tomorrow throughout the white mountains and back into the rim country. the creeks will be running very fast there, so keep that in mind. otherwise it's going to be sometime friday afternoon, i think, before the sun pops out here in the valley i and the clouds may hang around in northeastern arizona right on into friday night. but we'll all get a chance at a great looking weekend. things are looking pretty nice as we get on into your saturday and sunday. tomorrow, though, may be the best day of the week, high in the upper 70s, and of course we'll be out in queen creek tomorrow, seeing all of our friends. >> founders park if you want to come out and see us. >> yeah, we would love to see
