street and thomas. this home engulfed with flames. there is a lot of debris and other items on the property. they are right in the line of fire. the flames sending a huge plume of smoke into the sky. no word on how the fire started. we know phoenix fire crews have surrounded the house and have gone offensive. we're not sure if the home was occupied at the time the fire broke out. we'll bring y as soon as details are available to us. just one hour until the polls close in arizona as voters cast their ballots to decide their next president. trump has scored big in west virginia, kentucky, and indiana. arizona may be too close to call because the democratic party

lines and problems that some people faced while trying to vote earlier today. associated press is reporting 350,000 early ballots may be need to be counted by the time the polls close at 7:00 and more than a million early ballots have been turned in today. 800,000 have been counted leaving 200,000 that need to be tabulated. there is a lot that need to be kristy siefkin the live with how voting is going so far. >> reporter: people are bringing food out here. someone brought pizza to help make it easier to wait in the long lines. if you come out here in maryvale, this is a very popular voting location and the line has grown exponent usually over the past couple of hours.

pipe. we spoke to a woman who was standing at that point in line. from that point forward, it took her two hours to get in and vote and get out. as we pan down the line, the line is much, much longer. we saw a woman with a ballet of water because she knew she would be here for a while. the lines were long around 7:00, 8:00, three-hour waits were being reported. easily three-hour waits thi evening. many different voters coming out and theorizing why it is taking so long. some say there are few volunteers inside and saying it will take a while to check people in. we heard that multiple times from voters and we spoke to them as they observed that problem. >> there are only two people checking people to vote. there is a total of 20 booths

physically vote. however, only two or three are occupied at a time because the process is so slow. >> i don't know if i want to vote anymore. >> the stakes are high with arpaio and 205 on the ballot so it is important for us to vote. >> reporter: just now, we're hearing chants outside hearing arrest arpaio must go. we're deali came to the voting place and decided to leave. voters coming in this morning saw the long lines and they looked outside and said i'm not going to wait for three hours and i'm going to go to work. we spoke to another gentleman who waited for two hours and found out he was at the wrong polling location and he is too tired to go to the right location. this sounds like a repeat of what we saw a few months ago in

trump, alabama, mississippi, missouri, tennessee. for hillary clinton, connecticut, d.c., illinois, maine, new jersey and rhode island. a big voter turnout across the country and here in arizona. there has been issues. some tablets did not work and early signatures on early ballots did not match. >> reporter: here in maricopa county, the number of early ballots. they are estimating to receive one million of those so far one million has been tabulated but 200,000 probably won't be counted until tomorrow. these are all of the counted ballots. helen purcell says so far today, they haven't seen too many issues at the polls despite the huge turnout.

e-poll books, which verifies the info but they have worked to fix that. >> there was some that did not boot up. through our troubleshooters and hotlines, we have walked the people threw that on how to get the poll books up. if we had to switch some out, all of the troubleshooters had some with them and they were able to bring the other one in here and with the technicians, we've had here, we brought those >> reporter: they do expect to release the early ballot numbers around 8:00 and we will monitor the situation. in maricopa county, ty brennan, fox 10 news. >> security at polling sites is important. the arizona commission for election accountability formed its own coalition after the long lines from the presidential preference election earlier this year. they deployed monitors to dozens of polling places in mesa and

safe and well-informed. arizona state treasurer jeff dewitt who is the chief operating officer for donald trump sent out the wrong hours for voting today in a tweet. it was an e-mail he sent to trump supporters saying the polls closed at 9:00 but the polls closed at 7:00. he told the associated press that a system glitch led to sending out the e-mail and it went out. michele reagan said they were deeply concerned and troubled. another race that has a lot of people watching is john mccain. he is hoping to keep his senate seat for a sixth term. after voting, he met with sporters after the church. when asked about supporting donald trump, this is what he had to say.

donald trump and i will not. >> he wasn't happy for that question. mccain is running against ann kirkpatrick and we'll have those numbers for you as they come in. long time maricopa sheriff joe arpaio is facing a tough challenge against paul penzone. hundreds of high school students walked out of class they were protesting arpaio saying it is time for him to go. andrew hasbun has more now. >> reporter: we're at republican headquarters and we're e arpaio to be here tonight whether he wins or loses this race and the polling on this race has been all over. we can't predict any kind of outcome at this time. sheriff joe arpaio had the money. he had $12 million he raised and spent over this campaign but is it enough to campaign the swell of latinos that came out and registered to vote and hit the streets up through election day. many of the groups rallied high school students to protest against sheriff joe arpaio.

near 51st avenue and osborn. some walked out of class and came to protest against arpaio and urged voters to support paul penzone. the sheriff and penzone, this is their second matchup. they ran against each other in 2012 and the sheriff won by six points. this time around, the students and many others are hoping for a different ou group of students to walk out and this is awesome because it shows how much power we have. >> we all want people to come together, no more separations. >> reporter: sheriff joe arpaio as we all know has had plenty of legal problems over the past four years. will that affect the outcome of the race? the polls close in a matter of minutes.

the arizona voters also deciding the fate of prop 205 tonight. that measure to regulate marijuana like alcohol. if approved, adults could possess up to an ounce of marijuana and grow up to six plants. the other big proposition on the ballot is prop 206 and if this passes, it will raise the minimum wage in our state to $12 by 2020 and requires businesses to pay employees sick time. election headquarters in new york city where we are watching the races and returns. several states have reported record-breaking turnout among early voters and we're waiting to see if that trend continues into the late afternoon and into the night. hillary clinton and donald trump cast their ballot for themselves and by the time this is all over, we'll know if our next president is a billionaire businessman who changed everything or the first woman to

scottsdale, 85. 82 in ahwatukee right now. we have 80 degrees up in surprise as well. take a look at it. a little bit of cloud cover down in that southern portion of the state. we have seen a little here and there but not much. it has been a beautiful day. 90 degrees on the high so a little bit warm. normally, we see 79 degrees at this time of year. 91 at goodyear. 88 at deer valley. 88 at gateway as let's take a look and see what is going on in the mountains. 77 in sedona. 61 up in the flagstaff area. winslow, 70 degrees. 85 down in tucson. 91 in gila bend. yuma at 94 degrees today. getting warm there. look at these nights, 60 at queen creek. mid 60's for the valley. 59 for surprise.

high and low. record low at 32. take a look at what we're forecasting for tomorrow. 83 degrees for the high for the valley. you can see we are coming down a little bit here. 84 in scottsdale. 83 in deer valley. 85 up in glendale. 71 in prescott. 58 up in flagstaff. 85 at gila bend. 89 the warm stuff will stay on the desert. this is the biggest glitch right here and on up into the ohio valley as far as moisture. not a great deal of moisture. dallas picked up under half an inch. everybody else picking up a little bit of moisture. temperatures, you can't complain about temperatures across the country on the day today. they were very, very nice. here, 65 degrees overnight.

means they take control. fox broadcast network election coverage continues with shepard smith. this is a fox broadcast network election alert. fox news now projects donald trump will win the state of alabama. took a while to call it after the polls closed there. the reason for that is they're kind of slow getting their numbers in from the state of less than 1% of all precincts reporting. enough to say only about 1,100 voters in, donald trump will win the state of alabama tonight. quite easily. the decision desk called the indiana senate race, a bit of surprise to election watchers, not in recent days but a surprise. evan bayh, democrats admit he
