fox 10 news at 10:00 starts now. and thank you for joining us. we begin tonight with what scottsdale police are calling an incident of road rage. this all began when a woman called 911 to say a black sedan was ramming her car while she was driving right near thomas and scottsdale road. officers caught up with the black sedan near 48th street and thomas, and that's when the driver allegedly took around, turn off, crashed into an suv and spun out, also hitting a police cruiser. nobody chaos out there, but the driver was arrested and police believe that driver was under the influence. our other big story tonight, a valley teen who almost lost her life is speaking out tonight from her hospital bed. she is still recovering from some really bad injuries after a suspected drunk driver slammed into her and a friend. tonight we are also learning more about the man who is still in jail. that's where we find stefania okolie live with the update for

stefania? >> right now, the 16-year-old hit by the suspected drunk driver has a very long road to recovery, meanwhile, the suspect still here at towers jail. mindy tonight is sharing her inspiring story with us from her hospital bed. in the blink of an eye -- >> i just got hit. >> reporter: mindy's life would change forever at just 16 years old. >> he was a drunkdr he was a drunk driver. >> reporter: a drunk driver the reason why she's here today. >> it's kind of hard, because sometimes i wake up and, like, i'll remember that my leg is broken. >> reporter: two broken legs, five surgeries, and three painful weeks after a night became a nightmare, she's sharing her story. >> i really want him to learn that he's ruined my life and my friend's life.

and three friends were heading home on 17 when they ran out of gas. mindy and her friend got out and decided to try and push to the nearest exit, but they wouldn't make it even 20 yards before 56-year-old vince vaughn slammed into them. >> i fell to the floor, and i crawled. >> mindy short of breath only memorized one number for her friend to call. >> i said, grandma, i'm dying. i got into a wreck. i'm dying. my legs are ruined. there's so much blood. i said, grandma, shut up, i love you. >> court records showed vaughn was two times over the legal limit, a convicted felon. remarkably, she forgives him and hopes sharing her story will stop someone else from making the same, dangerous life changing mistake.

was found last night while trying to carjack someone else in tempe. no words on the charges that he will be facing in addition to the extra charges that he was already facing. funeral arrangements have been made now for a show low police officer killed in the line of duty. a funeral will be held at 9:00 followed by a procession to the churj the suspect barricaded himself opened fire on police who returned fire and killed the suspect. meanwhile, show low residents are also trying to raise money to replace a well-known statue in the town of show low, which depicts how show low got its name, a card name between two frontiersmen and the winner had to show the low card.

same district, so these things need to be addressed quickly. >> when arpaio leaves office, he will still be responsible for the criminal contempt charges against him. meanwhile, the maricopa county sheriff's office must remain in compliance for three years before the federal monitor and the entire case can go away. tomorrow is veterans day, and to celebrate our brave men and women, the city of phoenix is planning a huge celebration. it's the 20th annual phoenix veterans day parade, 1 bands, 18 floats, and color guards will honor those who served and made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation. more than 40,000 people with are expected to line the streets. the parade starts at montbello and continues down central avenue. be aware that parade is happening tomorrow morning. two valley veterans fell into an unexpected friendship, the

harbor, other numbers about the same all around the valley, 64 in payson, up at page, we had 68 degrees, 82 degrees at gila bend, and this is what we are forecasting overnight here. the norm would be at 55, so we are a little above that, so you can see some of these other temperatures trying to get close to 55 but not quite there. 82 for the high today, 64 for the low, 78 and 55 normal high and low, there's your record high at 91, your record low at 33. here's what we are forecasting, about the same as today, 82 degrees, we are looking at 79 degrees in the forecast up at cave creek, 80 degrees at apache junction, 82 in mesa, and 82 -- 83, that is, in glendale. 72 in sedona, we are looking at 77 up in kingman, 84 at gila bend, and 79 is the forecast down in tuscon. this is the way things are looking across the country.
