crew. and we begin tonight in goodyear where an 8-year-old girl has been flown to the hospital following a bad crash out there, skyfox over the scene, police telling us that two vehicles crashed at the intersection of cereval and victory road. officers say at this point they don't think either driver was impaired. we'll keep you updated on we learn more on what exactly happened out also a warning out tonight by the dea of a new opponent and deadly drug becoming popular across the country. it's called pink and it's responsible for dozens of deaths across the nation. stefania okolie has been looking into the dangers of the synthetic drug. she joins us now. parents need to be aware of the dangers of the drug. >> perhaps the most alarming thing about it is how easily it can be accessed.

search into google, this one here as cheap as $35. a lot of people don't know that the synthetic drug is extremely deadly. >> sadly, there are always new designer drugs appearing every day. >> better known as pink on the streets, an opiate strand drug that's eight times stronger than heroin. >> chemists create it, a lot of money molecule or leg and it's something new. >> that something new is typically already banned illegal drugs. >> you can have a controlled substance, change a piece of it, and all of a sudden it's a legal product. >> it's part of a surge of synthetic drugs on the market, pink now responsible for dozens of deaths across the nation, most recently in utah where 213-year-old boys diedf a taking the drug. they ordered it on the internet.

community education for community bridges. she says one of the scariest parts about this is the very easy access to deadly opioid drugs. >> no one is immune to this. >> right. >> it could be rich or poor, young or old, everyone has access to designer drugs online nowadays. >> yeah, and the fact that these synthetic drugs are killing people should alone be enough for people to want to stay away from them. getting these things off the street, it's scary alone, getting things inside of a store. these drugs are largely unregulated. it's going to be harder for experts to track these strands, so right now the best prevention of course is education. parents, you want to be on the lookout for what your kids are searching on the internet and of course what's coming in the mail. live in the newsroom, i'm stefania okolie, fox 10 news. >> good information tonight, stefania, that you know.

tenants at a phoenix apartment complex dealing with sewage problems, foul odors and cockroaches, and a resident there says the management has been no help. it's at 35th and indian school roads, look at how gross that sink is. other tenants say they are also experiencing water leaks. >> when you flush the toilet, it overflows or stays this for about an hour, when it overflows, it just comes out all over into the bedroom. that's why the carpet and all right here is soaked. >> and we reached out to the complex manager and the city of phoenix about this situation, but we have not yet heard back from either. people across the country protesting the election of donald trump for a third night, and here in the valley today, over at a.s.u., students voicing their opposition to the president elect. the students departed from old

couple of hundred people were taking part in that, but again we are told that was a peaceful protest. meanwhile, donald trump choosing his vp elect, mike pence, to replace the new jersey governor chris christie. christie ran in the primaries but then dropped out and endorsed him. it's clear why he was demoted but it could have something to do with two subordinates being convicted l connection with the bridgegate scandal. meanwhile, barricades surrounding trump tower to protect the president and the first family. the new security measures have been a headache for people living in trump tower. >> it's the inconvenience of having to walk around three blocks, four blocks to come in at night. they, once you say you're a resident, they let you in, and that's not a problem, but there were no deliveries that really can come in. it's very difficult.

as you start to see actual results come in, you test the exit poll against those actual results. >> chris says even though some polls didn't project the outcome, it got easier as the election carried on to make a more accurate projection. >> we were particularly cautious about making our call in pennsylvania as we looked because there was still enough raw vote out there that we wanted to make sure that there wasn't a mistake, because better to be right than first. >> i agree with that. when it comes to decisions like prop 205, they use a formula based on the trend of the region and compare it to the ratio of the number of ballots outstanding, reporting live, marcy jones, fox 10 news. thanks for clearing that up for us. arizona voters also rejected prop 205 which would have legalized recreational marijuana. now doctors offices say they are seeing a rush of people seeking medical marijuana prescriptions. the phoenix new times reporting a increase in the number of

fox 10 news is back. thousands of people in phoenix line the streets today for the that parade zigzagged down central avenue, camelback, and 7th street and ended over near the phoenix va. veterans from three different wars were at the parade this morning, all represented there. they came with their families today to celebrate is watch as americans honored their sacrifice for our country. we spoke with one veteran who said he appreciated being able to serve. >> it's a good life if that's what you choose, but you have got to be sure you want to do it

there's yuma at 87 degrees for tomorrow. and as the -- there's the super moon we were talking about. that's going to be monday. it will be as close to the earth as it has been in something like 70 years or so, so there you go. it will be something to see early, about 4:30 in the morning. 63, somewhere in that neighborhood that we'll be looking for the overnight low, 59 in glendale, 58 in ahwatukee, and 59 degrees overnight in apache junction. this morning, 83 this afternoon, 78 and 54 would be the normal high and low, the record high 91, record low at 35. this is what we are forecasting for tomorrow. we look at those temperatures coming down just a degree or so. some areas will be the same as today, but the city looks to be a couple of degrees cooler. it will be forecasting 70 in sedona, 65 in payson, 84 at gila

in douglas 70 degrees with that 87 forecast for yuma. looking across the country, well, the west is starting to see a little bit of moisture come in as a new front pushes in. in fact, early in the day, it was just washington and oregon. now it's a lot of california involved in that. of course, they can always use the moisture in california. 64 in st. louis, we had 54 in bismarck, and 66 at salt lake city. overnight and 61 degrees. we'll be looking at 81 degrees tomorrow afternoon. as your weekend continues, sunday 82 degrees, mid-80s by tuesday, and look at this, yeah, might see some 60-degree temperatures or very close to it next week. have a great weekend, and watch your kids around water. thank you, dave. coming up, look at this, a great grandmother takes to the skies, why she says skydiving was the perfect tribute today for her

phil keating, fox news. one great grandmother takes to the skies today to commemorate family members and others who have served the country, my favorite story of the day, 93-year-old lorry phillips jumped from 10,000 feet in the air to honor her husband, a world war ii vet and member of the 82nd airborne. we spoke with lorry to tell us what it was like. >> it was beautiful. it was really, really ni i was really scared when they opened that door and threw me out. i was glad he was hanging on to me. >> wow. lorry says she has no future plans to jump again, although she says she may consider it for a 95th birthday. i hope i have her energy and adventurous spirit at that age. >> i was impressed with the sun devils too, hooping it up, both a.s.u. and u of a running the
