sky fox was over the scene when police first arrived at this home. it happened around 1:00, as i mentioned. the couple staying with her brother for the time being. the wife is seven months pregnant. she is fine. the husband did have a weapon and when he arrived back home, the brother of the wife will tell you what happened next. >> my brother-in-law and his wife were home and they ordered a pizza so they went to p the pizza. when they came back, there was a vehicle here in the yard and he did not recognize it. when he went into the house to find out what was going on because someon was in the house, he asked us if we knew who it was. we said no. he found him into the garage and got into an altercation and they fought and wrestled around and he ended up shooting him twice.

says he has lived in this home for a year and a half. he has two young boys. they were not home at the time. it is fortunately that they were not home at the time. the 18-year-old was held down until police arrived on scene. he only suffered minor injuries. a pair of burglars ransacked a casa grande home of a 90-year-ol a pair of crooks knocked on her front door and when she did not answer, they threw a brick to break a window. they climbed into the home and when they saw the woman, they grabbed whatever they wanted. >> they got a pillow case and started gathering whatever they wanted. >> reporter: while she was here? >> yeah, she followed them. she tried to leave by the front door. >> reporter: she tried to get away?

penzone says pink underwear is not what law enforcement is about. he says he is willing to close down tent city as well but wants to make a full evaluation first. sheriff-elect penzone says he is scaling back the chain gangs and has no plans to hold immigration patrols. workers wrapping up work on a new interchange that opens on tuesday near bell and grand avenue that is an area that has arizona department of transportation is saying the new interchange will cut down delays by freight trains. the project took seven months to finish and cost $42 million but the timeline was sped up so it would be done before the holiday shopping season. it is starting to feel like fall out there. cloudy skies and temps dropping overnight in the valley and it could be cooler over the next couple of days as well but warmer weather in the forecast for this weekend.
