arrest a woman but when she doesn't cooperate, the officer punches the woman in the face and this is caught on camera. the news starts right now. thank you for joining us tonight at 10:00. we begin with the video from flagstaff. this started with a couple getting evicted from their home. the woman in the video gets in a confrontation with police on the scene. when the officer punches her in the face. take a look. >> you canno know i have a warrant. >> hey, you can't hit a girl like that. >> you saw it right there. things getting heated after the officer struck the woman in frond of her boyfriend and family members. the video was taken by the victim's brother. the officers said she had a warrant out for her arrest. we talked to her boyfried tonight. he claims she did not have a

>> he says you have a warrant and she says no, doing. he assumes she had a warn and she didn't have a warrant. >> flagstaff p.d. is aware of this incident and tonight they released the statement saying their agency is concerned about what is depicted in this video. we are immediately initiating an investigation into this incident. marissa is behind resisting arrest and assaulting an officer. other news tonight, we hear the desperate calls for help from a woman being terrorized by another driver who kept ramming her car while they drove. we have the 911 calls tonight. >> reporter: yeah, marc, hearing the 911 calls it is quite chilling giving us a look into the reality of how

the victim. she heard the 911 calls for the first time as well and tells me it brings back horrifying imimages. >> scottsdale 911, what is the address of your emergency? >> i don't know where i'm at. a guy is hitting in the back of me trying to kill me on the road. hearing the 911 tapes makes me emotional. >> reporter: a horrifying situation of road rage and what police say was drunk driving. she told me she thought would drive. >> a drunk driving chasing you for that long, absolutely, i thought i was going to die. >> i'm in a white bmw. oh, my god. >> reporter: thursday evening, she was on her way to a kick ballgame when a driver came up behind her flashing his light, ramming into the back of her car and flipping her off. as she was on the phone with 911, he chased her down.

he has his lights off. >> reporter: she was scared for her life. she had no idea who the plan was and why he was chasing her. >> ma'am, where are you right now? >> i can't. >> have you gone by the 5? >> reporter: police finally catching up to fatima and the driver near 48th and thomas. >> i ran out of my car and i had no shoes on and i stood in the middle of crying. >> you are safe. she hung up. >> reporter: fortunately, she is safe tonight. she tells me this is going to haunt for her some time. moses is facing a slew of charges, including d.u.i. and reckless driving. in the suspect's car, they found

was showing mood swings. he is being held on a $50,000 bond in jail. it is bad enough being the victim of a robbery but talk about adding insult to injury. listen to this. >> reporter: so they shook hands with her when they left? >> yeah, the nerve to do that. >> yeah, she is talking about the crooks shaking her mother's hand after burglarizing the two men knocked on the elderly woman's home. she is 90 years old. when she didn't answer, they broke through using a brick into the window and crawled inside. they saw the woman but they ransacked the house anyway. >> they didn't doing the. they got a pillow case and gathered whatever they wanted. >> reporter: while she was here? >> she followed them.

door and they -- >> reporter: she tried to get away? >> they wouldn't let her leave. >> reporter: did they tie her up? >> no. >>reporter: did they hurt her? >> no, when they left, they shook her hands. it is so strange. >> luckily the 90-year-old woman is ok. the suspects weren't done. casa grande police say the men burglarized another home a block away. the suspects des in his 40's and in his 20. a suspected teenage burglar ends up in the hospital after surprising the homeowner. >> reporter: we talked to neighbors in buckeye and they say they haven't seen anything like this. a young couple staying with her brother for the time being. they went out to get a pizza

concerned. >> when they came back, there was a vehicle in our yard. >> reporter: an 18-year-old man was inside the house but the couple did not know it. >> he found him in the garage and got into an altercation and they fought and wrestled around and he ended up shooting him twice. >> reporter: at that point, his brother-in-law held him down until authorities came. >> you feel vulnerable when you have a your community, your home and you want to feel safe and it is too bad that other people take to stealing, take from those who have worked hard for their belongings or possessions. >> it makes you feel twice about carrying a weapon or protecting your house or family. nobody was hurt on our side and the good guys won tonight. >> reporter: the 18-year-old suffered two gun shot wounds but

minor. a bail bondsman accused of raiding the home of former phoenix police chief pleads guilty. it was last year that brent farley was acting on a false tip that sent him to the wrong home. he will be sentenced next month. sheriff-elect paul penzone says he is getting rid of pink underwear. that has been a trademark during sheriff joe arpaio's time in penzone says he is looking at permanently closing tent city but he wants to make a full evaluation first. good news for drivers out there. the new overpass at bell road and grand is set to open on tuesday. the interchange will cut down on delays often caused by freight trains. it will cost taxpayers $42 million when it is all said

continue to be one of the most welcoming cities here in the united states for anybody looking to escape a war-torn country. phoenix city councilman has a much different opinion. during several speech, president-elect donald trump promised to block federal funding for sanctuary cities. several mayors around the country have come out against trump vowing to continue to protect illegal immigrants. greg statement saying "residents and visits can be assured to uphold the thraoufs city but that does not mean that phoenix will fall victim to discourse that is hostile to members of our community. the phoenix police department will never turn into a mass deportation force even if the government in washington, d.c. threatens to revoke federal dollars."

the east side. other numbers, 58 degrees at flagstaff. 76 at kingman. we had 60 degrees at the grand canyon. 63 at show low. 85 degrees down in tucson. take a look at your overnight lows up in wickenburg, 47 degrees. 52 in maricopa. 54 in scottsdale. this is your day, 59 degrees. this afternoon, 79. 75 degrees is the normal for this year. 52 would be the normal low. there is the record low at 32, yeah, right at the freeze mark. 89 is the record high for the day. this is what we're looking as far as the forecast highs and they are down. this is what our forecast lows look like just a month or so ago. you can see 70-degree temperatures. 71, a couple of 69's in there. the west we talked about. a little bit of action.

gotten texts by mistake... we probably all gotten texts by mistake from people we don't know but when a thanksgiving invitation from a valley grandmother was texted to someone she didn't know, this blossomed into a >> reporter: it is crazy how this happened. a wrong text ended up with a thanksgiving invite. i'm here with jamaal, wanda, the whole gang. how did this happen? >> like you said a wrong text. we just kept communicating, i guess. >> reporter: when you got this text from wanda, what did you think? >> i knew this could not be my grandma. she doesn't know how to text. >> reporter: when you found out this wasn't your grandson,

the first five games of the season, the minnesota vikings were the talk of the nfl. with key injuries, the vikings have come back to earth. how about this u.s. bank stadium, a glass ceiling, a beautiful place. kyle rudolph can set up as a wide receiver and he is a very tough matchup. let's not forget about the second year player stefon diggs.
