as you see behind us, today wrong-way driver. >> d.p.s. says 24-year-old sara castillo was headed the wrong way on a freeway and crashed head on into a greyhound bus. a dozen people were hurt on the greyhound and treated at the

troopers. >> this is becoming an epidemic. >> good evening, everyone. d.p.s. telling us that last night's crash was the third wrong-way incident in just a week. the first 911 calls came in about 2:30 this morning. >> the driver entered the i-10 from the loop 101 and began heading westbound in the eastbound lanes of traffic. the driver made it six miles where she crashed head on into the nicole garcia spoke to the family today. >> reporter: the wrong-way driver was a single mother of two young kids and recently started a brand-new job. her family describes her as happy and ambitious. they gathered to celebrate thanksgiving around 4:00 this morning, the family got a call

23-year-old sara captured the video of her family as they celebrated thanksgiving. it turns out this would be the last time they would see her. hours later, she died when she crashed head on into a bus on the freeway. the impact shredded her car leaving a mangled mess of metal. >> she was always laughing. you hardly ever saw her sad just full of life. >> reporter: she would have turned 24 next month. she was the mother of a boy. they haven't told her kids what happened yet. >> they keeping is for her and all we can say is she is at work right now. sara decided to go out for the night. she was heading towards home when she got on the freeway heading west on the eastbound lanes of i-10. >> i couldn't believe something like this could happen.

>> reporter: investigators believe she may have been driving drunk. >> if you get drunk or whatever, you know you can't drive, call someone to pick you up. because stuff like this happens and now my sister is gone. >> reporter: nicole garcia, fox 10 news. >> the family has set up a fundraising page to raise money for her funeral. a 31-year-old cotto is accused of driving drunk and killing a passenger in his car. the yavapai county sheriff's office says cody bright was driving on a two-lane road wednesday afternoon when they tried to pass someone. deputies say bright ended up rolling his car and the front passenger was killed. bright allegedly tried to pin the crash on the passenger saying he was the one who was driving. law enforcement agencies

going for the weekend. it is probably taking thanksgiving off as well. 78 degrees right now. 75 degrees in cave creek. those temperatures are holding up nicely through the day today. 75 in chandler. apache junction, 73. that's the system we've been talking about that's moving on through the area. that's the one that is going to have an affect on us as far as our moisture is concerned when it comes in. look at today, 81 degrees looking at 70's in some of the outlying areas. 52 in flagstaff. 72 at lake havasu. show low at 50 degrees. we're forecasting these lows for tonight. these temperature lows are up a little bit over the last couple of nights here. we have 55 in ahwatukee. 56 in scottsdale. 51 in surprise. sky harbor, 59 degrees. here you go for the day.

and then as you can see, 81, the afternoon high this afternoon. temperatures are coming down a little bit. 76 degrees in mesa. 74 in apache junction. you will be look agent 73 degrees in glendale. mid 70's in goodyear. 52 in flagstaff. 56 degrees in payson for the forecast. we're forecasting mid to low 70's across the desert floor. look at this coming into the you can see it, there is another one behind it winding around that is going to be the changes we're going to be seeing across texas. we already see moisture south of dallas and north of houston. across the great lakes, we see a dusting of snow as temperatures have come down. 44 degrees in detroit. 48 in boston. 58 degrees in wichita. salt lake city, 52. 52 in seattle as well.
