for the new jobs. steve krafft, fox 10 news. it's been three and a half years since a wildfire ripped through the hills of yarnell. the flames destroying everything in the fire's path, including 129 homes. the most tragic losses were the human lives taken. >> so capable, to confident, bright shining diamonds. >> reporter: 1 granite mountain hotshots died fighting the fire on june 30, 2013. >> brave men who gave their lives in defense of friends, neighbor, and perfect strangers. >> reporter: the wind whipped fire changing directions making the yarnell hill wildfire the dead iliest wildfire in arizona history. >> this is the most humble people you will ever meet.

anybody who wants to honor the hotshots have a place to go. it is a memorial start park. i want to show you where this is. we put it in 3d. right here is the town of yarnell. actually, still about here. this is where you will be parking off of 89. it will be a little bit of a walk. if i zoom in, you will see just how steep this terrain is. you're going to walk up to the site where the memorial is, we spin this around. it is about a four-hour hike. it is a seven-mile hike where the memorial will be. this is where the hotshots died in that fast-moving fire more than three years ago. you can park off of 89a if you want to visit the site. the trail to the memorial is a long hike. courtney griffin was at the unveiling and has the story. >> reporter: a dedication

place this morning to honor the 19 fallen hotshots who sacrificed their lives over three years ago. >> these 19 men lost their life here and it is important that we honor that sacrifice. >> reporter: governor doug ducey and the families of the 19 hotshots, the first to view the new memorial. >> they have done a good job along the trail head calling out each one of the 19 men who lt their life. when you come to the final place, it shows the team work that they demonstrated there. it is just something you have to see to understand. >> reporter: the memorial includes a seven-mile hike, three miles in is the site where the firefighters died. it is marked by ring steels and stones connected with chains to show unity.

they all pass. >> reporter: they are thankful for the memorial site and the challenging hike, which sheds light on what the hotshots went through. >> it does not give you the impression that hay had because the undergrowth was 10 feet high before it was burnt. now, it is relatively clear compared to what they had to clear. >> reporter: the lone survivor of the hotshot crew says being back at the site where he lost his brothers is emotional. >> i have different unique memories and it is a great honor to be here and what they have done is truly beautiful. >> reporter: 19 stone plaques line the trail along with a timeline of what happened. >> again, that park opens tomorrow, november 30. it is a seven-mile hike. it will take you about four

more weather delays in flagstaff after the storm. the flagstaff unified school district canceled classes because of the roads. 5 inches of snow fell in flag city. they had a two-hour delay this morning. the snow has tapered off but a lot of it powered up. dave, a pretty good storm. >> reporter: coming from north dakota and coming from iowa, >> lived for them. >> reporter: we did not have to pay them back. now, they have to pay they can back. now they make it up late in may. there is the high pressure that moved in. this is the cold front that has passed through the state. the cold front leaves freeze warnings behind, one of them taking us into thursday and a hard freeze down to the south of

a fox 10 news exclusive. a first-hand look at securing our border. >> some of the nation's governors traveled to nogales to get a better sense of trade and security along the border. >> our troy hayden was there as well and spoke to the lawmakers, some were seeing the border for the first time. >> reporter: we've been down here in nogales all day today. this is a city that is cut in half by the border. you can see the fence here that is mexico. the people driving over there, walking their streets. it is a great place for people from out of state and who aren't from arizona to see what the border area is all about. a large group of lieutenant govenors here in nogales to learn more about what happened at the border. here is what they had to say. >> it is not what i expected. i don't know what i was expecting.

several protestors at the several protesters at the dakota access pipeline filed a lawsuit claiming their civil rights were violated during a clash with police. they pelted officers with rocks and burning logs and the officers responded by firing rubber bullets and water cannons. one officer was injured. 17 protesters were taken to the hospital. a phoenix restaurant no stranger to fundraisers is facing a backlash after its last event. >> last week the coronado raised money for people protesting the pipeline and ever since then the attacks have been coming. matt rodewall live with the details on this. this got nasty. >> reporter: it did. this is an eye opener for us. when we first did this story last week and it was surprising for the restaurant who wanted to

dakota access pipeline protesters on the day after the thanksgiving. that day in the restaurant business is typically quiet but the $2,800 they raised made a lot of noise. all they wanted to do was raise awareness but they got more than what they bargained for. >> the whole thing has been really like, like much bigger than we ever thought it was going to be, which is awesome. >> reporter: the story about the coronado's restaurant fundrais 13,000 people on fox 10's facebook page. it made the restaurant a lightning rod for criticism and that is ok. >> people are allowed to feel how they feel. people are going to, you know, when you do something, especially when you take a stand on an issue, there's going to be back lash. there is always someone who had a counter view. >> reporter: business is fine and he is getting calls of sport
