las vegas strip after police say a woman drove her car on crowded sidewalks. officials seen the female driver in her 20s with a three-year-old child in the car when she jumped the curb and plowed into pedestrians. one said people flew like bowling pins as the car flew in the crowd killing one and jurying othersjury injurying others. >> people running behind the car chasing the car and they were not police officers chasing the car. >> according to witnesses, the driver seemed to ignore people pounding on the windows and finally came to a stop on the street. police say she then took off again jumping the curb at least two more times slamming into more people near planet hollywood. >> and yet, the driver did go from one location into the street and back on to the area

u.s. officials tell nbc news that our american soldiers among those killed and wounded. the number of dead reached six while total wounded is three soldiers at this hour. earlier, the taliban said it was behind the attack but it claimed 19 soldiers have been killed. that appears to be a far higher number than is accurate. the suicide bomber detonated the explosives as he drove off the coalition forces which included some afghan forces. local media have been reporting nato troops were killed in the attack. again, in this stage we know there are only americans on the casualty list. we don't know the extent of their injuries. >> we want to turn to politics now and donald trump firing back at hillary clinton after she focussed her attacks on him at saturday's democratic

new jersey wilderness. >> he is bleeding from his neck, his arm and his head. >> reporter: authorities say the leader was hiking with three young scouts on sunday when he was attacked inside of a cave off of a trail near the splitrock reservoir in northern new jersey. >> during the hike the scoutmaster located a cave which he then entered not realizing that the cave was being used as a den for a sleeping bear. >> reporter: 50-year-old christopher says the black bear pulled him into the caving biting him on the shoulders and leg. he managed to fight bear off using a rock hammer. one of the three scouts was able to call for scout and the bleeding scout leader was airlifted to an area hospital. he is expected to survive. new jersey's hunting season for bears ended on saturday with over 500 bears reportedly killed. authorities say it's the scout's preparedness that prevented a tragedy.

down people outside a local casino. one person was killed, some 37 others were injured. we do know her name, and it is on your screen. she is from the portland, oregon area. we also have images of the 1996 oldsmobile that local police say she was driving at the time. she also had a three-year-old little girl in the car with her when this happened. the child was not hurt. authorities say they don't know why she did this. they do know who she is. she is charged with multiple serious crimes. she is being interviewed. her blood has been drawn. we're waiting to hear from the sheriff concerning the latest. there you can see the stage is set. we're also supposed to get her mug shot during this update. dana: we want to get a quick check of the weather. kelly joins us from the weather center. kelley co. we have been watching the radar as we are to see some returns show up mainly as mountain snow. most of this very light.
