with sexually assaulting a housekeeper at boulder station. michelle is all over this developing story. she joins us from boulder station with more. >> michelle: this is very disturbing. it was trending on social media here in town. people were sharing this video that metro put out of the suspect , the man who had been described by witnesses who went up into a room and sexually workers who was inside of a room. this was going around on social media and because of that, they caught this guy. he is 22-year-old ivan major. surveillance video showed him in the casino and somehow sneaking up into the elevator that people who work here say it's hard to get into and into one of the rooms.

assaulted and battered in that room. we talked to a hotel employee that was telling us they don't know how this man got up there because you need a key to get up to the room. >> i don't know how the guy got upstairs because you need a card to go in the elevator. either he mangled with the people and went up. there is no way to get up there. >> michelle: that surveillance video showed him walking all over thela the elevator. they got great shots of this guy. because everybody joined together and started sharing this, they were able to catch him. major faces a number of charges including sexual assault, battery and kidnapping for holding that woman in the room. station casinos has not issued a statement concerning this whole thing. we're happy to report this man

australia weren't the greatest for the gymnastics team. they came home with no medals. there was a bright spot. most agreed the best performance was from a las vegas teen. >> when news 3 caught one fascia she was becoming well gymnastics city so i'm happy to try to introduce the city to gymnastics more to find out about this sport. >> u.s. olympic coach came and watched her at the mgm. but he wasn't sure yet. a month later at the competition in orlando she was on fire. >> when i first saw her, i wasn't sold.

we've seen in a while. we're looking at upper 90's today. winds light right now but they will increase in the afternoon and that will help kick some of this dust out of the area. the rain showers in parts of new mexico and parts of arizona. that's where we expect it to stay today. las vegas dry conditions but a few showers possible around mesquite and a flash flood watch for most of arizona. keep that in mind i hazy, breezy conditions in the afternoon. that will kick some of the haze out of the area. high today 99. we're looking at chance of showers east of las vegas. tonight 78-degrees, mostly clear skies. winds will diminish during the overnight hours and tomorrow 99 but the heat comes back for the weekend. >> kim: your rio forecast,

apparently the monkey wasn't loose. he was with one of the passengers. we called officials and they confirmed to us that the passenger had the proper paperwork to bring the monkey on board. apparently the monkey was a service animal. when you think service animal, normally you think dogs. in this case it was a monkey. who knew there was proper paperwork to bring a monkey on a donald trump this morning. it was on a campaign stop the other day where it spurred a new controversy that has everyone buzzing this morning. the presidential nominee saying his rival hillary clinton if elected president, the second amendment people may be the only way to keep her from picking the judges. listen to donald trump in his own words and you decide what

television station. one person saying they rode it on july 26 and this happened. the nebraska man goes on to say that his shoulder strap busted loose during the ride and he held on. he had video he provided to this local tv station showing it loose at the ride's end. he told workers about that loose strap. even though this water park reopens today they have not said how that little 10-year-old was launched into the this is something that will be investigated with this new witness account. >> dana: the u.s. women winning gold last night in rio. before they were born there was a young lady named mary lou who won gold in 1984. she join us us live from new york city. anybody who was alive in 1984 remembers you winning the first gold medal ever in the history
