let me tell you about the victim in this case. a teenager 15 years old and a standout teenager by all accounts. he was a star athlete. it was last night that the teen's father talked to us about his grief which is still very fresh for him. and there is still disbelief over his son's murder. he was killed by two men who wanted the ipad that they saw him carrying into a store. he was attacked and dragged to his death by a vehicle driven by the men accused of this crime. >> it's stealing. it's robbery and when somebody dies as a result of that kind of behavior, it's murder. >> that is district attorney steve wilson speaking with news 3.

men in their 20's. there will be a trial scheduled to begin this morning but not with those defendants. one of the defendants did plead guilty earlier this month. that person no trial for hip. that theaters in trial today which begins this morning is for michael. i'm craig reporting, news 3. >> dana: happening today a fact finding hearing will take place in a public review of theea shooting of an arizona fugitive by metro police this. happened on new year's eve when metro shot and killed this man after he ignored orderers to drop a cell phone that officers mistook for a gun. they thought he had a gun and he didn't. police were mistakely told he was wanted for murder. but the young man was not wanted on those charges. >> kim: democratic vice presidential candidate tim kaine

evacuation orders have been lifted for the people in this area because they have a handle now on this fire. some 82,000 people were forced to evacuate. the fire did destroy at least 105 homes. however, the good news this morning to be able to report this big fire just about three and a half hours from las vegas is 85% contained. as we check in with tom in sky 3, this much smoke in the skies of southern nevada last week. >> tom: noticeably clear as we take the outside shot. you can see a long distance and that includes the russell road interchange where we're in good shape. we have an accident on the 95 and decatur where this vehicle
