97 by noon and 101 at 4:00. normal for this time of year. we're going to talk about the changes for friday and saturday coming up. >> dana: the trial continues for one of the men accused of killing a local teenager over an ipad. police say his friend grabbed the teen's ipad and jumped into a vehicle but he wouldn't let go of the gift that his f gave him. state prosecutors called several witnesses to the stand wednesday. some of the most emotional testimony came from an on duty paramedic who was the first to treat the badly hurt teen. police say he was dragged under an s.u.v. with michael solid behind the wheel. >> i found him laying kind of

unconscious, unresponsive and blood coming from his mouth. he had tire tracks on the left side of his face. across his abdomen in the lower area and abrasions on both of his feet and ankles. >> dana: that's a paramedic who has seen a lot during her career getting emotional. marcus' father testifi the hospital. when he got there he was in a coma and died son after. solid's attorney said he's not the person responsible. the person responsible has already been sentenced.

he was last seen friday at a convenience store in bull head city, arizona. the night before he was at a casino with his family. he was on vacation visiting relatives when he just disappeared. red rock searching for this 80-year-old man. it's been an emotional week. following up on leads so far have been nothing but alarms. >> someone told us they had seen him down here but it was just a false tip. i can't explain it but we have to be strong because we are going to find him. >> such a difficult time for that family. they say he suffers from slight alzheimer's and may be confused. he's most likely wearing a straw hat and suspenders. take a good look at this man, if

stoppers. >> dana: the death toll after that devastating earthquake in italy stands at 247. search for victims and survivors continue this is morning with a live look out of italy. you can see the rubble on your screen. searchers are going through this trying to find survivors in all of that. drone video captured overnight shows all of that damage from above. three towns were hard hit including one where travelers had come for a festival. crews have been used bulldozers, hand tools and their hands to go through this debris. an amazing rescue captured on video yesterday. that 10-year-old girl was alive and doing well as she was pulled out of that rubble after 24 hours underneath all of that. the death toll is expected to rise.

they were sued by the government and lost that suit because they wouldn't allow blacks in. when hillary was in her 20's she went down to alabama and protested and brought suit to require the alabama school system to allow black children to attend the same schools as white children. she has a life of trying to integrate and make this society more inclusive. donald trump's life shows quite the opposite. that's just stunning. >> dana: let's talk about another issue the clinton campaign has had to deal with and that is the ties of the clinton foundation to her when she was secretary of state. people that were giving money to the clinton foundation were given access to the secretary of state. i know the clinton campaign is saying nothing illegal happened here however the optics are not

>> well the optics are not good when you see it through the prism that the trump campaign presents and some folks in the media and that is understandable. but the reality is first of all the clinton global initiative does wonderful things for millions of people who are the most desperately poor meme in continents like africa that need the helpta the initiative provides. it does great work and the cl out ever it. most of those people would have gotten meetings anyway and none of them got anything out of the meetings. no policy was changed or action taken. this is much to do about nothing really that is unethical. granted people in the clinton global initiative knew people on hillary's staff and so on. but the meetings didn't amount

>> krystal: beetles could be a contributing factor in the wildfires including the blue cut fire. the forest service said 66 million trees have been killed in california since 2010. people who live near the forest say the bark beetle is to blame. the insect is attracted to dry conditions. they feed off pine and cedar

today. lincoln county could see a little bit of thunderstorm action this afternoon. in las vegas dry. mostly sunny, hazy conditions, 101 is our high. winds gusting to 25 in the afternoon. that will help a little bit with this haze, help stir things up a little bit. tonight 80 for the low. check out the seven-day forecast. friday and saturday now looks like we could have aet thunderstorm activity across the region including in las vegas. look at the temperatures too. 98 friday, 96 on saturday. don't let this stop you from going outside and having fun or camping. just don't forget the rain gear. >> krystal: frontier airlines adding more flights out of mccarron. frontier will fly to nashville and tampa bringing the total

past few years. the new service starts septembe. southwest is the only other airline to serve tampa and nashville from here. >> dana: more people flying to our local airport these days with a live picture coming from the airport this morning. 4.1 million people came through the airport in one month there. that is a 2.6% increase numbers for the month of july since going back to 2007. that is good news. more people passed through this year than last. about 27 million people coming and going through the first seven months of the year. that is a 5.2% increase over last year. this is one of the busiest airports in the country. i think we're seventh in the nation.

lot of people think it's in chicago but it's atlanta. a woman put a lineman on her dog. city wants to protect a nearby tree there. next to the tree root sign she added one about it being a lion enclosure. look at that. are you kidding me? woman says the dogs complete with that fake lion has a lot of people talking. >> krystal: that is a big dog. love it. in south dakota the trooper's have made one commute to work a lot easier after seeing him walk

the sergeant told the story to his squad. they decided to get tanner a bike. now his commute better. mechanical issues with the bike, they reached out to a sporting goods company with repairs. instead of repairs they gave him a new bike. it takes a huge weight off his shoulders. he is the sole provider for his family. maybe your little one takes a bike to school or walk. we want to see them on their first day of school. we know a lot of private schools have already started. clark county kids headed back next week. time to get back to reality. parents, teachers, we know some of you maybe it's your first year in the classroom. students grab cameras. we want to see your back to school photos.
