103 at 4:00. that's our high for the day. sunglasses and t shirts a must for this first day back to school. >> dana: rancho high school as the kids get ready to go back and if people speed in a school zone, plan on getting a ticket this morning. >> that is why the law enforcement agencies across the valley will be stepping up patrols in schoo so many people might not be pay ago tension. this will be a time when there will be a lot more kids around the school areas, school campuses. the stepped up patrols come with the back to school traffic enforcement being launched in the las vegas area because students will be arriving in schools for this return to school year. the goal for police to prevent dangerous driving in and near school zones. that means saturation patrols

ran from the car and started exchanging gunfire with the trooper. as is usual in these situations the trooper has been placed on administrative leave as metro continues to investigate this incident. >> dana: a tragic weekend at lake mead. two drownings to report this morning. the first happened saturday afternoon around 1:30 near the overton arm of the lake. the vick was a spokesperson said the man was able to reach the surface but was unconscious and did not survive. then a second victim, a woman who was snorkeling. she also surfaced unconsiders. she was not wearing a life jacket. first responders did perform cpr but they were not able to revive her. >> kim: still developing, what

hours ago at l.a.x. a lot of people trying to get home for back to school monday. it was about 9:00 last night when people started running for cover. they heard shots were fired and there was an active sheeter situation going an at l.a.x. turned out to be a false alarm. everything back up and running smoothly now. you are seeing the immediate aftermath here. multiple reports of an active shooter so s led to a huge backup at the terminals. police searching all the terminals after receiving numerous 911 calls. no evidence of shots being fired found or an armed gunman. no victims. the disturbance they think came from loud noises. the airport reporting delays because of this last night at l.a.x. then wouldn't you know it that there was a guy dressed as zoro

fake sword. they detained him for a moment. wouldn't you know he was bound for las vegas but had nothing to do with this disturbance last night. we transition to the social media images that went up as a result. it was not long ago we were talking about a similar situation at new york's very busy j.f.k. in that particular instance, they heard a gun go off because people were watching the o.p.s. at a bar. it was a track and field event. that gun signaling it was time for the e a lot of people on edge. happy to report this were monthing that everyone is ok in los angeles and no armed person ever found and no victims either. dramatically different airline story we're talking about now. that is two united airlines pilots who have been arrested for possibly being hammered on the job, drunk before flying from scotland to new jersey.

yanked off the flight yesterday morning in scotland. united saying the flight was delayed for 10 hours while the airline got a replacement crew. the pilots removed from service immediately and the airline saying it is cooperating now with police and they are conducting their own investigation. >> dana: colin kaepernick speaking out since he decided to sit during the national anthem. >> if we have these conversations, there is a better understanding where both sides are >> dana: what he says needs to happen before he will stand for the national anthem again. >> kim: red carpet rundown. melinda is here. she's going to be live in studio breaking down the hits and miss from last night.

the west side of the 15 freeway across from the mandalay bay. this is the big field here this. big empty field that they are looking at right now as the number one location for this stadium. and the folks at the sam's corporation waiting to see if goff nor sandoval will get the ball rolling here. they are hoping for movement in this comes with a $1.9 billion price tag. the sam's corporation says it will walk if it does not get the $750 million in public investment which would come in the form of a room tax. the stadium is an investment in the community. here is a quick snippet of what he said.
