>> jury could decide on that sentence today. 25-50 years in prison, life without parole or life with the chance of parole. we're going to let you know what happens on later editions of news 3. sentencing day for the man convicted of threatening people on the las vegas strip with a gun causing a metro officer to open fire. that is black with a smile on his face in a courtroom. this happened police say they received multiple 911 calls about a man in front of the fountains waiving a gun. they arrive. he points his gun at an officer. the officer fired back. he was not hit but a small child was grazed by a bullet but not seriously injured. >> kim: as we focus on decision 2016, a big day for donald trump racking up miles in the air.

thank you very much for joining us. we had dr. ben carson on the program talking about the trump campaign. now we want to talk to you about the clinton campaign. hillary clinton invited to mexico. she declined the offer. donald trump did go standing side by side with the mexican president. some saying donald trump looked presidential in that meeting yesterday. meanwhile hillary mainly out raising funds for her campaign. what do you say to that? >> i think donald trump had a photo op. there was not much substance there. great contradictions about who is going to pay for the wall. donald saying one thing and the president of mexico saying absolutely not. i don't think much was accomplished there. there is not a lot of substance going on right now with respect

it's a repackaging of the same thing he was saying in the primary. ultimately a lot of theory signaling nothing. mrs. clinton has been focused on the economy. she gets it. people are concerned about their children's welfare, their children's future, creating jobs. she's committed to creating good paying jobs in this country which is the big issue in this campaign. she wants to focus on band technology, she wants to focus on alternative clean energy. she wants to focus on investing in the things that will give people good jobs, provide jobs for their kids. she wants to focus on a fair tax policy. she's talking about a middle class tax break. when you look at trump's program you see a lot of benefits end up in the hands of the wealthiest, the same old trickle down

affordability, a big problem in this country and says we can have debt free college education for students attending school. we can have companies share in the profits their employees create and if they leave this country we can charge them an exit tax to edition courage that kind of behavior. what she is saying is i understand your frustrations and concerns and i'm the candidate that wants to focus on an economy that works for everybody. th results and why she's doing so well. >> dana: the polls are tightening, that is a fact. we know that polls nationwide are tightening but we have two months to go before election day. thank you for joining us live from washington, d.c., we appreciate it. coming up a dog hoping to find a forever home after getting into a sticky spot. she didn't appear to be in pain but she wanted out.

declared. schools are closed down as they prepare for the two storms. >> dana: we are expecting an increase in strength for hermine which is churning there in the gulf. we expect it to make land fall tonight along the florida panhandle as a small category one hurricane. when you say a small hurricane, it's still big enough to cause damage. flooding is expected to be an issue along 20 inches of rain is possible in some areas. the last time florida was hit by a hurricane was 11 years ago. it was will ma that struck in 2005. it seems like florida gets hit with hurricanes all the timement it's been more than a decade since the last one. >> kim: it's the storm surge that does so much damage. a lot of coastal cities and states.
