local father who said his son came home and told him they had been playing with the mercury for five days before it was found. they are frustrated over the lack of details. the conversation far from over after admitting they don't know where or what the mercury came from or how it ended up on campus. movingwa that task is anything but easy. with this particular incident being called the largest decontamination effort in local history, no surprise crews will be here today for continued testing. when will these kids be able to get back into their classrooms especially after one parent said the first exposure was much earlier than originally thought.

>> happening today, the final official vote on a plan to reorganize the clark county school district will fall to i apanel of 12 state lawmakers. the school board finalized the presentation it will bake to that commission last night. the plan would move budgeting decisions from the school district as a whole to the schools themselves. principals and teachers would have more say on where the money would go. >> pro football kicking a super bowl rematch last night. it's another franchise that folks around these parts are very excited about the possibility of coming here. we're talking about the oakland raiders, one step closer to calling las vegas home as local leaders near a decision on a 65,000 seat stadium. developers say time is running out to make a decision on that $1.9 billion stadium. it requires a $750 million investment from the public.

them to arrest her. white's cause of death is still under investigation but we were told last night it was considered a hit and run by police. >> a father recalls hearing screams from his daughter on the phone the night she was kilted here in las vegas. the crime happened more than 7 years ago but the man accused of killing her is finally facing a jury. jenkins testified thursday morning that his daughter was in las vegas with her fiance on he called his daughter and he knew immediately something was wrong. jenkins alerted his son who placed the call for help. robin was later found stabbed to death. >> it was a scream that i'll never forget. >> how horrific for that father. officer daniel was the first on

just some of the details we have learned from that police report which news 3 obtained. perez robbed a woman at gunpoint at an atm on lake mead and used the money to buy beer at a convenience store. at mcdonald perez killed robinson. there was an argument over who should have held the door for a woman at the restaurant. robinson and the woman argued and exchanged was a shooting and robinson bled to death. he made a bold escape from the beer guys room and was on the run for five days. perez told detectives he never planned on shooting robinson that it was self-defense. he's being held on just over a million dollars bail.

johnson middle school will be closed again today as the environmental protection agency continues testing and investigation there. news 3's kendall live outside that middle school with the latest. this started out as something we thought wasn't too serious, became much more serious. we're learning this could go back several days before they figured it out. >> parents were invited to a meeting yesterday and they were father got up and revealed that his son came home and toll him they had been playing with the chemical here on campus five days before it was reportedly found. his son touched the chemical inside the gym on friday with three other students which lines one the e.p.a. information yesterday that the chemical spread throughout the entire campus and not just the entire area.
