was. her family also taking the stand. the father and niece talked about the memories they had prior to her death. they talked about the moments of fear of jenkins relationship with him. the couple did have a history of domestic violence. officers testified about being called to the home jenkins demeanor. the jury will have to decide whether he will spend the rest of his life in prison with or without parole. jenkins was frostic's fiance when he stabbed her to death.

fall officially begins on thursday. the last weekend of summer. today's high 92 degrees. looking at a lot of sunshine in the area. temperatures will be warming up this weekend. we will take a look at that forecast in ten minutes. >> anchor: thank you. 5:32. one the most troubling calls that police say they have to deal with. they are talking about the abduction of a child. news3's craig figner live in boulder city this morning. craig, you were invited by the fbi which wants people t firsthand how the fbi is improving the way that these child abduction crimes are investigated. >> reporter: is exactly the case. that is why we are here. oftentimes when there is a child abduction case the fbi plays a large role, even a lead role, to help work on a child abduction crime. today they will be work to fine tune the way they work with local law enforcement

types of cases. we have seen this happen before. frankly all too often. file video where a 22-month-old child anastacia bartletta was taken from her home on allen way, the couple -- the suspects, the couple allegedly met the child's mom at a local bar, offered her a ride home. a bizarre kidnapping from the child's home. it ended when an amber alert was dispatched to cellular telephones. that included the suspects' cell phone and they panicked and returned the child physically unharmed. a good sending to that. a total of 17 policing agencies from all over nevada. and include metro, cops from reno and sparks. they will be here for a drill. they will be working with the fbi and the fbi in las vegas has a new special agent in charge. we will get to meet that
