police this morning. as we look at not only the shooter but the victim in this case. authorities identifying the coffee shop customer killed in the shooting over the weekend and that starbucks where police are saying this morning it does not appear that he knew the accused gunman. the clark county coroner saying just yesterday that 41-year-old alexander died sunday of a gunshot wound to the chest. were hearing from police saying the shooting may have been a random act by an agitated angry words with the victim before the shooting. witnesses have said that 34-year-old pedro josi garcia went into that starbucks actors payment card was declined at the drive-through window. and shot twice into the ceiling before then shooting the victim. were hearing from some of the victims friends and family members. >> i'm sure he was scared.it doesn't happen that way. life does not and in a starbucks. >> garcias jailed pending a

charges. it is not clear yet if he has an attorney but we are going to stay on top of this developing story we will chart the progress for you each and every morning every step in that starbucks by the way with a deadly shooting took place has finally reopened to the public. >> policing had a conversation garcia and the victim at the time it look like the victim was reaching for something and garcia told him go for it dog i'm not going to tell you again go for it. shootout which did not happen only one person pulling the trigger that morning. >> family ties to british royalty take a plea deal for the charges that he faced in several crimes. 53 old alexander montague manchester calls himself a british duke the duke of manchester. facing charges for three crimes including burglary filing a fake police report.details of the plea deal have not been announced. his next court appearance coming up tomorrow.

>> kim: a man recently convicted of killing his fiancie is now facing new charges. were talking about 54-year-old david bostic he was sentenced to two weeks ago to life in prison with the possibility of parole. for killing his fiancie robin jenkins. but now more trouble to talk about with this man. police it was last wednesday that he attacked an officer while behind bars. >> that individual brought the violence to the officer in the officer did nothing officer was by himself. he was struck with flashlight that became dislodged from his belt in the face area. and was being choked out by the suspect legs. >> that corrections officer was treated for minor injuries. the entire incident all caught on camera. our district attorney here clark county steve wilson says the video is going to be used against bostwick when he appears on the news case and

>> dana: we had another officer involved shooting this one also fatal and this one not far from las vegas.this one happened in el cajon not far from the san diego area and protesters were out in force last night. protesting the shooting of an african-american man by a police officer. there was some cell phone video that people have had a chance to look at. in the cell phone video you can see the man raising his arms getting into what they call a shooting stance. against the pic the police officer shot him believing that it was a gun in his hand. look on the left hand of the screen. see that man that was in the shooting stance when police opened fire. one opened fire with a taser i believe the other open fire with his his gun. that man was shot and killed at the scene. when he went and afterwards they found it wasn't a gun at all but police haven't said exactly what he was holding in

believe this one was caused by a person. wildfires can be dangerous already but this one even more so because it hit a power transformer. crews have been battling this about 30 miles north of san francisco. it's burned a structure already. using the transformer in the mix. charring five acres at this point one firefighter has been heard here. the fire is fully contained at this point cr battling the hotspots within the area. >> dana: a little rain around here today that same storm system causing a wall of dust in phoenix. gus reported up to 40 miles an hour visibility down to about a mile. officials at the sky harbor airport in phoenix and no delays for arriving or departing flights. while just for the bigger ones of the year likely the last dust storms of the summer two as we come to the end of our monsoon and kimberly what we call these.

cover. potential for some showers here's what were looking at now that moisture lifting up from the north and here's where we are seeing that activity now. looks like we got a little bit of some return popping up right now in the las vegas valley. also around mesquite take a closer look at those coming up. as your forecast for today. 87 degrees chance for some showers and thunderstorms today wins out of the east at about 5 to 10 miles an hour. overnight tonight look at the chance for some active weather but mainly in the evening. we'll get a look at crider after midnight. there is still another chance for some showers to develop tomorrow afternoon eight degrees that's expected high and dry conditions remained on the sunday forecast winds are going to kick up that will start saturday afternoon sunday and into monday but notice the impact is going to have a temperatures next tuesday 79 for a high.
