we will take a closer look at the radar where it is raining right now and where it will be raining next in a few minutes. now 6:01. in about an hour and a half, we will see the starbucks shooting suspect in person for the first time. our craig signer will be there and joins us live from downtown las vegas with what to expect. hi, craig. >> reporter: good morning, kim. here at home the most serious charges against pedro garcia are murder, robbery and -- robbery possessing a gun. these are serious charges especially when you consider this was a person in prison, was put in prison for violating parole and a ex-felon. new information new to news3 by the police report in the case. garcia you may remember was in a starbucks. he ordered a bottled water. there was a credit card that he tried to use that had his name on it, but the security chip had been removeded.

not. he let him keep the bottled water because he had already opened the bottle. he went into the store and for an unknown reason shot 41-year-old alexander kucavili. the motive -- it is a big mystery now. originally it was thought that garcia had his payment card declined and that may have angered him causing him to go into the starbucks but payment card was not declined. he was allowed to keep a puse the payment with that card. his first court appearance 7:30. i will be in court and coverage on news3 at noon. reporting live, news3. >> dana: also according to the police report. metro said that pedro garcia called 911 while he was in the starbucks and the victim was lying on ground bleeding to death and you can hear in the 911 call go for it dog. i am not going to tell you again. go for it. play cowboy with me as he was apparently talking to the

pocket and pointed it at a shooting stance. check out the level hand portion of the screen. police released this new image to share. the freeze-frame of the initial part of the video you are using the video and the man is in a shooting stance and he is pointed right there toward officers. that prompted one of the officers to open fire. again that man dying several hours later at a hospital, and that shooting as a result brings protests at police racism, but, again, the man was not armed. the investigation continues. and speaking of shootings, we had one here in town too. this one not involving a police officer. a 27-year-old man was murdered outside of an unnoticed chinatown night club here in town. nearby business owners say they suspected illegal activities that the clothing store because there was routinely loud music being

early sunday morning. police say they found the body of a 27-year-old man named ezekiel davis in front of the business. he had been shot and killed. police say davis got into a fight inside the club. the fight spilled outside where davis was shot to death. business owners saying this is very troubling. >> that is a tough one. it's very hard. it is very hard. i am trying to open up a new business, and near my business somebody got killed, and it's -- i swallow. >> metro says that they were aware that there was stuff going on at that clothing store. it was on their radar, but they were never called out for any specific criminal activity. now 6:06. a plant sold all around town that many use as a way to treat pain could soon be banned. it is called cratum. an i think a shan plant that affects the same part of the brain as oxycondone.
