arrest him. for shooting and terrorizing the person at a nearby trailer park a week before. the suspect would not go quietly. he sped away from offices near flamingo. crashed his car on the interstate just before noon near boulder highway and decided to get out and run across traffic. a daring escape that ended with a collision. >> east across the freeway into the northbound lanes on i-95. >> as police suspect was hit and killed by semi tractor-trailer. >> the story better told by the ron. >> i'm still a little adrenaline rush. he said he came feet away from hitting that suspect. >> he did a body roll over the center median that's when he ran in front of me and i came within two feet from hitting him. i just get to stop her missing him. he took off across the

seconds the investigation took hours. clearing up only after an eight hour standstill. >> kim: now transition to this developing story authorities have named the engineer from yesterday's deadly rush-hour train crash in new jersey. many of you watched this play out live on the very channel. he has identified is 48-year-old thomas gallagher out of new jersey. he's been a transit employee for some 29 years for right now as we speak they are sifting through the wreckage hoping to find the trains black box. to figure out why the train slammed into the terminal. that accident happening during a very busy morning rush hour. the train failing to stop as it reached the end of the line smashing right into a barrier at high speed. and part of that terminal collapsed as a result of that

freaked out. say many passengers were kicking out windows and crawling to safety.and 34-year-old fabiola was standing on the platform she's a hoboken resident and a mom and she was killed by that falling debris. more than 100 people on and off the train were injured as a result. >> dana: also police officer that he shall be expected in a courtroom today for arraignment on first-degree manslaughter charges. shelby is the officer who shot and killed four-year-d black man two weeks ago. dash cam and aerial footage of the shooting show crutcher walking away from offices shelby with his arms in the air. turning says it shall be opened fire when the man began to reach into his suv. police have said crutcher did not have a gun on him or in his vehicle. >>. >> kim: left a police officer wounded in a suspect dead. this played out in kingman

minutes drive from here on i-40. the gunfire started when police tried to serve as a search warrant at home around nine core 30 yesterday morning. police tell us the wounded officer is out of surgery were told he's in serious but stable condition this morning. it's unclear if the officer was wearing a body camera or whether any of that video will be released but will stay on top of this developing story. >> dana: big changes taking place along lou diamond road this week. earlier yesterday work is switched on to new other fort apache. signal part of a $2.4 million project to improve safety in the area.following a tragic string of deadly crashes. drivers we talk to say there already seeing positive changes. >> i'm actually thrilled that we have lights here. >> absolutely is going to matter. it's been a horror. i was there one morning and witnessed a terrible t-bone accident. >> blue diamond road may have
