killed by this storm in the caribbean. >> we're here on folly beach which is 10 miles south of charleston. i can feel the rain coming down. this area is a big concern for the governor and emergency management officials. they announced in a news conference yesterday this particular area encouraging people to leave. they are worried about the high wind, more rain and storm surge saying this could be bigger than what peo hurricane hugo. they want people to leave this area. you can't get in this area unless you live here and they are checking i.d.'s. yesterday we were in charleston and for the people who decided to stick around it's a watch and wait. >> i think we're ok. it's 100 years old and made it through 10 storms.

we chart matthew and its course, we have this woman doing ok now but boy did she launch her car into a canal. we wish we could say she was evacuating at the time but she said she had been surfing and was headed for better waves when this happened. she did admit this to police in broward county. her car hydro plained into that position into the waters. she was able to get out and unharmed but that's what they don't want to hear people searching out bigger waves. >> dana: we've heard that emergency responders have quit responding to emergencies because the conditions are so dangerous there. they are taking 911 calls, they are just not responding because it would be a danger to their officers. school police say they've had it

more about a poll before you understand the context behind that result. what was the sample, who did they interview, how did they ask the questions and what questions did they ask and what kind of poll was it? there are push polls designed not to measure your opinion as to try to make you vote for the candidate who sponsored the poll but you won't know that when they call to get your opinion. >> dana: what are pollsters saying about this year's election? >> the expert we spoke t national poll headlines. he thinks they are meaning less without the context the news never gives. yesterday a poll said clinton was up 6%. i look at the demographics.

quieter conditions than what they are seeing in florida. we're going to take a look at florida as we are seeing live pictures. there is the hurricane tracking to the north-northwest about 13 miles an hour. here is a closer look. there is that eye just off from cape canaveral. look at the bands here of heavy rain indicated by yellow and orange. really heavy band of wind very strong as well. right around the eye wall is where the strongest winds are, 120 miles per hour winds. category three storm. there is the track. you see where it is now. it's going to continue to work up the coastline today. then start turning around as we head through the weekend weakening to a tropical storm and heads right back to the bahamas that have already been hit.
