special session. two bills were passed. one of them will increase the hotel room tax in the order of $750 million so they can bring that nfl stadium here to las vegas, build it. today's signing is going to take place at unlv along with helping fund the stadium, there is money for an expansion of the convention center and slight increase in the sales tax to put more police officers on the streets of sourn 25,000 construction jobs and 14,000 permanent jobs to las vegas and help take the tourism industry to the next level in our community. opponents chain it gives money to shell dan addle son who can afford to pay for the whole thing himself. >> kim: we focus on decision

rescue. cell phone video showing if whole thing on camera. you have police officers, you have bystanders helping this person. it was a two car crash. forming a human chain to get everybody up the hill to safety. for some reason the driver became combative. maybe he had a confused about what was going on. they did get him up the hill. driver taken to the hospital with minor injuries. >> kim: you are about to see an iconic bridge in southern california in absolute chaos. it shows a truck right after it drove off the bridge and into a crowd of people. it happened over the weekend.

morning to a report that a man was pounding on somebody's door yelling that he wanted to kill everybody inside. when police officers received on the scene the man attacked them with a rake. they deployed tasers. they were not effective so one of the officers fired their gun. he died on the scene. the officers have been placed on administrative leave. >> kime of olympic runner tyson gay was killed yesterday in a shooting in lexington, kentucky. happened early yesterday morning. his daughter trinity taken to the hospital after being shot in the neck outside of a restaurant. she was hit in crossfire. tyson was close with his daughter who was a track athlete.

the shooting and right now are questioning possible suspects. >> dana: fire crews have been battling two fires near reno. they say 55% of the fire is contained. nevada governor brian sandoval declared a state of emergency allowing state agencies to allow with fire fighting and other services. the fire has burned more than 3,000 acres. about 500 firefighters partf 23 homes, 17 out buildings have burned and we also have a small fire burning in mt. charleston as well, 27 acres at last check. >> kim: that is not good news for us here. it was quite windy last night. i'm able to speak to this because kelly kept me up for a

contained but we've had wind gusts over 70 miles an hour reported overnight in mt. charleston. so we'll wait for the latest update on the october fire. we have clouds out there yesterday. look at the winds. you can see the grass snapping back and forth. most of the gusts around the airport around 40. this is since midnight. that is why some of us were kept awake. blue diamond 56-mile an hour. north las vegas 48. temperatures cooler but the big story is the wind. summerlin 68, paradise 68 and henderson 70. we do still have a wind advisory for all the areas shaded in tan. this goes until 11:00 a.m.
