down in the answer found in a target? hackers aiming at a company called dyn. it acts like an address book and switch board of the internet. this time, hackers deployed the latest weapon in cyber warfare. virus that effects internet devices like dvrs and baby monitors and turns them into cyber bot and the system like dyn is overwhelmed and crashes. >> it is unthinkable that a baby monitor could topple twitter. an army of baby monitors can knock over the most important companies in the world. >> reporter: experts say companies are manufacturing weak default passwords making them vulnerable. >> the fact that companies can make hundreds of thousands of devices and put them on the

line turn into a botnet and attack the united states is a problem. >> reporter: so far, there is a lot of speculation on who is to blame. a senior u.s. intelligence official now telling nbc news this is a classic case of internet vandalism. it does not appear to be a state sponsored attack. what is clear, a new weapon has been deployed as companies and countries try to prepare for a possibility of cyber war. experts tell usot devices used in attacks like these are located in vietnam. right now, the department of homeland security and fbi are investigating. stephanie. >> thank you, gadi. testimony resumes in new jersey in the bridgegate trial. the question is did governor chris christie know about the george washington bridge closures? he says he didn't, but during testimony on friday, one former aide insists he did.
