clear. people are looking to speak with people that rented this home. they are starting this as an open investigation. we did tell you last tweak our first reports about this hidden camera situation that a suspicious tenant called metro saying they thought there was a camera hidden in a smoke detector. a man named chris rogers vacation home. people who live near the home in this neighborhood weren't entirely surprised. it is the home with the sign on the front gate that reads activities are recorded aand the owner has full rights to those recordings. >> i believe it.

local police say that a love triangle turned deadly for a man on the west side of town. stephen lewis shot solomon during a confrontation recently that stemmed from a woman they apparently both were dating at the same time. lewis followed the couple to a home where the fight broke out. solomon's mother tells us that he moved to las vegas to esc chicago. and coming up in our next half hour of the program we're checking in live with kendall who is covering this story. there is a big appearance before a judge here this morning that she'll have information as far as what to expect. >> dana: you are going to have an impact on the cone zone when you head to the polls. when you fill up in clark county you are paying a fuel tax.

tractor trail area long interstate 10 just north of palm springs early sunday. 13 people killed, 31 others injured in route to los angeles from the casino when the accident occurred. the ntsb says the cause of the crash remains unknown. they expect the investigation to last about 7 days but the bus driver himself was killed in this accident. >> kim: four people have been killed in popular theme park. it takes us to australia where two men and two women died while on a river rapids ride at the theme park. the thunder river rapids rides with people in circular raft as long the man made river. an officer says that a malfunction caused two people to be ejected from that raft while two others were caught inside

deadly. let's check in with kendall covering this story. one of the people involved will face a judge not long from now. >> reporter: yes, in just a couple of hours. that is stephen lewis and police say he is responsible for the shooting death of a 28-year-old man. he was dating the woman that lewis had previously dated. the victim's name is ray vonn sol rhonda rousey. lewis shot him saturday after he followed them back tie home where a fight erupted and lewis shot solomon several times. solomon's mother tells us he moved to las vegas to escape the violence on the streets of chicago. he now leaves behind two children. >> i feel sorry for both of them because my son is gone. his kids will never see him

>> lewis will be in court at 7:30 this morning. we'll bring you the latest at noon. >> dana: local police looking for more people who may have rented a local house whose ever move may have been caught on cameras inside. chris rogers the property own was arrested after blinking light in a smoke detector. officers found hidden cameras throughout that home. rogers charged with capturing an image of a person's private area. the rental listings, most of them taken off the internet. if you may have rented this home between october of last year and january of this year, you are asked to call crime stoppers.

from now we're checking in with craig on that story. we're focusing on this one now. it concerns a unlv professor that was brutally attacked a few weeks ago on a walk in henderson. her condition has been upgraded to fair condition. she was attacked on a popular trail. the man who police say targeted her at random is michael mattingly. he's been charged with battery and attempted robbery. he's scheduled for another court appearance next week. >> dana: healthcare premiums under obama care will jump next year. premiums are going to jump an average of 22% for the silver plan. it's going to cost you nearly $300 a month. the hike is being blamed on the number of insurance carriers

jim childs: one of the ways criminals avoid background checks is by going online and connecting with strangers to buy guns. as someone in law enforcement, i think that's dangerous. millions of guns are sold through websites like this, most with no background checks, no questions asked. the law requires background checks in gun stores; why don't we require them online? a few clicks of the mouse, now a bad guy is armed - and potentially dangerous.
