unfortunately we're starting out with an accident in addition to car nado and this is bringing flamingo eastbound to a single lane. you can see that is having an impact on traffic already. use tropicana instead. the biggest impact we're seeing as a result of car nado southbound 15 there is no access to u.s. 95 north. apparently some people have not heard that yet so they are stacking up confused. the best solution is make an ear if you miss it you have to double back at lake charleston. we'll continue with jeff. >> jeff: another accident add to the list is one he talked about and that is 215 eastbound at las vegas boulevard. accident on the right shoulder not impacting traffic on the 215 though. 15 southbound clear. 95-515 northbound also no delays. traffic and weather every 10 minutes.

investigate what happened out here that. initial call came in just before 3:30 this morning. a male victim shot in the throat. we haven't gotten an update from officers on the suspect they are looking for, description of person you could possibly help them with at home. as soon as we get that information i'll get that to you here on news 3 as well as on news3lv.com. once again , the latest is this victim currently in the hospital listed in critical condition suffering from a to the throat. >> dana: thank you. woman walking on the sidewalk eight hours ago in our community when a cargoes off the road on to the sidewalk, hits and killed her. happened around 10:00 last night near charleston and las vegas boulevard. officers believe the driver was impaired when she swerved off the street and hit the woman.

went through the front door. officers say he pulled a gun once inside and took an undies closed amount of money from the cash register. if you recognize that man or know anything about this robbery, don't keep it to yourself. they need your help on this one. call crime stoppers. >> dana: three people waking up behind bars facing multiple charges after police say they took an 82-year-old man on a ride from las vegas to pahrump. sheriff's office said they received a call from two of the suspects saying they had just driven from las vegas to pahrump with the 82-year-old man, another person and third suspect who they had just met in las vegas. they stopped in pahrump for gas and that's when the man left, took off with the car and the 82-year-old man inside. he was found at in las vegas. the suspect who took the car

latest event. unbelievable what is going on in that country. >> dana: shocking disturbing news coming out of the university of wisconsin in madison. a student there has been accused of raping numerous other students. he is 20-year-old roll lek cook going into a local courtroom yesterday. the initial charge he was accused of raping a 20-year-old female student on october 12. since then they have serged his apartment. they now think there are numerous other held in this case this afternoon. >> kim: on "the today show" they go in depth from mad san, wisconsin as the investigation continues. talk about investigation, defense secretary ash carter suspended that effort to force thousands of national guard members out of california to repay bonus money after they reenlisted. so many americans got fired up when they first heard this news. the pentagon was trying to

were overpaid to enlist and serve in iraq and afghanistan and it was during the height of those wars. the department of defense saying audits show the california national guard improperly offered up that bonus money of $15,000 or more. because of so much outrage as a result of this developing story, those guard members are able to keep the money. >> dana: the basketball arena in cleveland is right there. about a two progressive field which is just right across the way. game two of the world series last night in downtown cleveland. this guy played prominent. he played three games in the month of april and then suffered a left knee injury. it took him six months of rehab. had six at-bats in the arizona fall league. they sent a private plane for him.

problems here. it's down to just traffic having to go by on the shoulder here. looking at the delays, you don't want to get in this. try using tropicana or spring mountain instead. this is where the biggest amount of work is going rerouteing the ramp from 15 north to mlk over to 95. that means shutting down the ramp from southbound 15 on to u.s. 95 north. lot of people didn't know that was going the among direction. people getting used to it eventually but right now you need to make an early exit at lake mead if the goal is to get on 95. a lot of confusion out there. >> jeff: going to be that way through today and tomorrow until people get in the habit of this new project. going through the bowl is look all right. just typical slowing this.

eleven. the crime scene tape taken away from the surrounding scene. we're checking in with kendall in about 12 minutes from now. >> dana: an 83-year-old man sitting inside his home when four thugs break into his home and beat him up. very disturbing. >> reporter: and the headline that goes to speak to concerns that everybody would have is the violent compare this year to last year. that underscores the concern many people have when they learn about new crimes like the one you just saw happened tuesday where an 83-year-old man was the victim of a home invasion style attack. he told police that fourteen agers broke into his home. they beat him up. violent crime sup 14% in las vegas year to year.

active manhunt near the campus of unlv. a lot going on this morning. people of the people sworn to protect and serve. a lot of the local men and women in blue honored for going above and beyond in the line of duty. well deserved. this is metro headquarters from yesterday afternoon where 112 officers were recognized for outstanding service in our community. the officers not the only ones private citizen in our community who jumped out of his car to help an officer who was in need. >> we have live pictures out of wrigley field in chicago. game three of the world series will be played there tomorrow night at 5:00. the drink willing probably start before noon in chicago. >> kim: it's probably started. >> dana: it may have started today.

this is expected to be the biggest bat until iraq in more than a decade. >> kim: we have more breaking news to share. this one playing out in our own backyard. let's check in with kendall near the campus of unlv. just hours ago a man that the 7 eleven was shot in the throat. as we continue to update the story, is anyone in custody? >> reporter: that is the thing. a big update i got is they believe that the suspect is actually known to who tell me they heard multiple gunshots in the area and a woman screaming. that is likely the girlfriend of the victim who is currently at sunrise hospital suffering from a gunshot wound to his throat listed in critical condition. metro believes the suspect and victim were in a fight before the shooting and he is in the hospital recovering and listed in critical condition.

shirts. >> we can't stop for a minute. donald trump says he can still win and he's right. >> hillary is right when she said donald is right. let's take you live to washington. tracy potts is joining us this morning. new nbc poll shows that donald and hillary are tied in nevada. i've heard donald trump still has a path to victory. >> he does. and tha is absolutely there. one thing trump and clinton agree on he's got a chance to win this thing. nevada right in the middle of the battleground states. it is tied at this point. nationally clinton has pull add way. but the polls are all over the place anywhere from three points ahead for clinton to 14 points in one poll we've seen. the other thing we're watching

battleground states but the early voting states. some are battleground and some are not. it gives us an idea of what the vote totals for this election are shaping up to look like. so far according to nbc's analysis 10.5 million people have already voted. they are done with this election. if you are looking in battleground early voting states, eight of them democrats are out pacing republicans getting to the polls. in three of them, republicans to the polls. then one state where it's tied, equal number of democrats and republicans getting out there voting. you can bet that state is florida where everything seems to be tied or very close similar to the polling in nevada. an interesting look at what is going on. we used to have everything decided on election day but now we have information about what the final outcome may be as early voting starts.

election night will be in a building with a glass ceiling in new york city. a coincidence? i think not. we'll check in again tomorrow. >> kim: a pilot in south dakota has been grounded after police say he tried to fly while intoxicated. this happened yesterday at an airport in rapid city. the pilot arrested immediately. police charging him with intoxicated. sky west apologized for this incident saying the pilot is on administrative leave. the company saying that pilot has been removed from flying duties during this investigation and the sky west flight to salt lake city was able to leave after a two and a half hour delay. you'll find out more on this one on "the today show" with this one with a live report. >> dana: you might remember this video we showed you as this car,

started as a routine traffic stop but now arrests have been made here. happened in california. police have arrested the alleged driver, a 26-year-old woman. the alleged shooter a 33-year-old man who they say is a known gang member. a 42-year-old passenger still at large. the suspects are now facing attempted homicide charges but nobody was seriously injured here. >> kim: priscilla presley is opening up a it's the largest hotel project in memphis in 90 years. she gave "the today show" a sneak peek and talked about what it means to keep elvis' spirit alive. >> if you look at the details of the couch, it's not just a plain couch, there is detail of purple that comes in. he was such -- he loved detail and he was so stylish himself. when you look at the way he

was injured in that and maybe serious injuries. he was moving his arms and legs. this is the channel 3 parking lot. this is the sky 3 pad there on top of the building. this is right behind channel 3 and it's fairly serious. we talked about car nado. it is causing problems where they are doing the rerouteing of the ramp whereby tomorrow we'll have 15 north and 95 north using the old mlk ramp. to 95 north is closed and look at the backup past lake mead boulevard. it's not good. >> jeff: once you make it past that, you have this to deal with. a disabled car on the right waiting to be towed out of there. extra slowing as a result of that. because of car nado the backup stretches well past lake mead. we'll continue to follow that.
