officers tell us they received a 911 call a little before 8:00 last night. a woman in an apartment complex claiming that a woman shipped at her door asking her to call police because she had been involved with a shooting with that man. they found a man in a car who had been shot. he was rushed to umc where he was later pronounced dead. domestic violence calls on this couple. >> dana: police now say the pilot flying that air ambulance saved lives by crashing it into a parking lot and avoiding nearby homes and businesses. this was friday night. happened shortly after the plane went down and the crash killed four people including the captain, a patient, two crew

>> quinn: we have one of those take a look at this moments. six people back on land after being rescued from a sinking fishing boat. this shows the boat being tossed around off the shore of massachusetts. miles offshore when it started to take on water. a lifeboat and coast guard helicopter were sent to rescue those on board. the boat was towed back to shore and will under go repairs. >> dana: we have a lake effect snow warning in effect for parts of up state new york. some areas getting pounded with snow. check out these pictures out of

least two shots. we'll stay on top of that developing story. >> dana: a san antonio police officer was killed after an ambush style attack. san antonio police released this photo of a person of interest and a vehicle believed to be involved in that deadly shooting during that traffic stop early yesterday. investigators say the detective stopped a vehicle and was patrol car outside police headquarters when the person pulled up next to his vehicle. that's when the suspect got out, walked up to the passenger window, fired twice and took off. the detective was pronounced dead at a hospital. >> kim: it was a cold case for years on end until recently. this morning we now know the man who confessed to kidnapping and killing an 11-year-old boy in minnesota will be sentenced for

danny is expected to be sentenced in u.s. district court in minneapolis. he's expected to get 20 years in federal prison. he pled guilty to one count of child pornography and entered that plea as part of a confession of kidnapping and assaulting the little boy. he led investigators to the little had been missing for more than 20 years. >> dana: some say that gold butte in trouble. environmentalist and american native tribes working together to get that area named a national moanment. a special report airs tonight at 11:00. >> a problem on many of our public lands, enjoying what nevada has to offer without
