metro report. this is what 49-year-old michael gardenhire told officers. detectives questioned michael gardenhire about the murder of 20-year-old son, josh wheatley. gardenhire told detectives he suffers from short-term memory loss due to depression and anxiety. he remembers everything before the shooting happened. he said he picked up the s shelter. he really does not know if he is justice father. why joshua stayed with her they often argue. on the day of the murder, lee said he did not like following the rules. that is when gardenhire said he lost his memory. police say they found lee inside the apartment with gun wounds to the does.gardenhire admitted to the officer his son was not armed with any weapons and never physically threatened him. gardenhire has been put in detention center where no bail.
