students at northeast community college in norfolk got a break from their typical coursework to learn how to make smart decisions about drinking. nearly 200 students attended necc's "sober in october" event at the chuck pohlman ag complex. a simulated driving course with impaired vision, walking the line during a field sobriety test and a seatbelt convincer gave students an opportunity to mimick possible drink or two and face impairment.
