prosecutors say a nebraska man who didn't get the promotion he wanted at buena vista university has been convicted of hacking without authorization into several of the school's computers and email accounts. 46-yeaeaold david boyer pleaead guilty this week in u.s. district court in sioux city to unauthorized access to a protected computer. in a plea agreement, boyer admitted that in 2009 and 2010, he hacked computers at the storm lake school. prosecutors say boyer was angry that he hadn't been promoted to become h hd of the information technology department. boyer agreed to pay $100,000 in restitution. his sentencing date has not been set. a manhunt in two states is over after a dramatic shootout overnight. authorities finally finding a fugitive who's been on the run for nearly a weeee

again -- this time on foot. the f-b-i and u-s marshals joined the search. a school district was shut down...for three days. diane alexander: it's kinda weird to us to think that one person could terrorize that much... just one person on thursday, authorities say cook approached a home in the burkesville area and asked for a ride. residents called the police, but cook ran into the woods... authorities shut down part of highway 61 and set up a perimeter - tracking cook with canine units, night vision, and heat sensing equipment. earlier this week, two of cookok known "associates" were arrested following a foot chase in white house, tennessee... now...after nearly a week on the run...police say...the threat...is over. dollar runaway military blimp from some pennsylvania woods. officials say today's focus is to get the main body of the blimp staged and prepared to be lifted out saturday by a chinook helicopter. the unmanned blimp broke free from its mooring in maryland on wednesday and drifted more than 120 to the northwest, before coming down in a rugged area in penenlvania. a record number of motorcyclists have died on south dakota roads this year. 31 people have died in motorcycle crashes in the state this year, 50 percent higher than the 15-year average and the most since the department o opublic safety started keeping records in 1963. the increase is likely a reflection of more motorcycles on the roads. the number of licensed motorcyclists in south dakota last year was up 69 percent from 20 years earlier. meanwhile, the number of registered bikes more than tripled. construction's been going on more than seven years.... and now, another segment of the i-29

project is also underway. schultz says the biggest issue is the closure of the wesley parkway northbound i-29 on-ramp. that was originally set to re-open friday, but completion is pushed back to november. another area under construction is the frontage roads between pierce street and floyd boulevard on the southbound de. schultz says thth could take another month and a half to complete. the area with the most work being done is on the southbound floyd river bridge project. the iowa dot plans to open the southbound lane by mid-november and move southbound traffic back over to the proper lanes so that the northbound work can begin.>> and there's still a long road ahead. schultz says it'll be late 2019 or early 2020 before the whole i-29 project is done.

the world's largest cellulosic ethanol plant opened today in central iowa. dupont says its 225-million dollar refinery in nevada will turn out 30 million galllls annually once it's in full production next year. it produces ethanol from corn stalks, leaves and cobs instead of the grain itself. today's opening of the plant comes at a challenging time for the ethanol industry. it's been battling the petroleum industry over how much ethanol the government will requirir to be used in the nation's automotive gas supply. the e-p-a is scheduled to make its final recommendati
