just had to share that.police have released the names of two people who died after the stolen car they were in was involved in a high-speed crash tuesday afternoon in sioux city. they are identified as 34-year old jonas rouillard and 28-year old autumn flowers. both are from sioux city. they were taken to mercy medical center, where they died of their injuries. police say rouillard was driving the car at a very high rate of speed on 25th street, when the car smashed into an s-u-v that was backing out of a driveway near morgan street with a pregnant woman and a child inside. the car then hit a tree and another vehicle, flipping onto its roof. nobody else was seriously injured. the car was reported stolen last thursday. the incident remains under investigation by sioux city police. the woman accused of purposely

driving around a barricade and over a police motorcycle before crashing into spectators at oklahoma state university's homecoming parade has been formally charged with murder. adacia chambers of stillwater faces four counts of second- degree murder and 46 counts of felony assault. prosecutors today filed formal charges against chambers, who has been behind bars since the october 24th crash. a judge has ordered a psychological evaluation. the mystery of a northern illinois police officer found shot to death after reporting he was pursuing three suspicious men is apparently over authorities now say fox lake police lt. charles gliniewicz killed himself sept. 1 and tried to make it look like he'd died in the line of duty. his death set off a multi- state manhunt -- as authorities searched for three suspects who gliniewicz had radioed in that he was chasing. today, investigators say it was all staged .. to cover up years of stealing and money laundering from a youth program that gliniewicz oversaw.

parts of the russian-made aircraft were scattered in a bushy area dotted with a few homes. an eyewitness said it seemed as though initially the plane might crash into a market area before the pilot apparently diverted it. it isn't yet clear if anyone on the ground was killed. the investigation into the deadly crash of a russian passenger plane in egypt continues amid a new claim that it is the militant group isis that brought down the plane. nbc's bill neely reports from cairo.

ohio voters have said "no" to legalizing medical and recreational marijuana. ohio governor john kasich --- a republican running for president --- praised the results in a statement by saying, "ohioans said no to easy access to drugs and instead chose a path that helps strengthen families and communities." pro pot backers had pounded the pavement of college campuses and used modern marketing techniques, but their efforts didn't work. still, those who pushed for legalized marijuana indicated they would try again. voters in sioux center, iowa have rejected a ballot measure to expand highway 75 through town. 56 percent of those going to the polls tuesday did approve the measure to use four-million dollars in debt funds for the

project, but it needed 60 percent approval to pass. city leaders want to widen the highway to four lanes, plus a turn lane. the expansion would have also included a median for beautification and pedestrian safety. this idea has had opponents since it was first brought up in 2013. some worry about increased traffic through town and that it would put the roadway too close to their homes. also at the polls yesterday, sioux city city council member rhonda capron was re-elected, holding off a challenge by thomas venesky. and voters in sheldon approved a two-percent increase in the hotel- motel tax. it'll go to seven percent on january first. woodbury county is moving forward with a plan to light all county buildings with energy efficient l-e-d bulbs. supervisors have awarded a 522-thousand dollar bid for the lights. the next step is to approve bids to contractors, then installation will begin. supervisor jeremy taylor pushed for the project. "we're ecstatic," said woodbury county supervisor jeremy taylor. "it's a great thing for taxpayers and the

taylor says it will take less than three years for the county to recoup the intial investment through lower power bills. woodbury county will be the first in iowa to light all its buildings with l-e-d bulbs. some sioux city middle school students are honing their skills in electronics and math... with legos. ktiv's sam curtiss has details.

"i noticed a lot of them were having problems that they had to fix while doing the competition," said chance jensen. though different ages and grades, chance jensen and stokes and everything you see is part of sioux city schools stem program. "i didn't think it was for me but there are so many things you have to work on it," said chance jensen. "it's for anyone that thinks robots are cool." especially cool when you can use it for things like this. but to be serious, in it's fourth year, the program has gained popularity. "we now have six middle school teams and seven high school teams," said april tidwell. and it's not all robotics. this north high groups science project is set to go to the international space station at some point. they're testing if allergies exist in space. twice now the rocket carrying their project has exploded before getting there. jeb bush was a very strong governor, probably the strongest governor in the history of the state of florida. he was a young guy and i think there were some folks in the legislature that thought they might be able to run over him. that didn't happen. one tax cut wasn't enough- he had to do more. it wasn't enough to have 15,000 kids with school choice in florida, he wanted to have 100,000 kids. if he didn't like a project, it was going to be vetoed. it didn't matter if you were a republican. it didn't matter if you were his best friend. he said: 'this is where we're going, this is how we're going to reform state government...' every politician comes in talking about making change, and generally there's not much change. but governor bush made a lot of changes. he got the nickname veto corleone. if he saw something in the budget that he thought violated his conservative principles, you could guarantee it was gonna get whacked. he vetoed a bunch of my stuff and i was the senate president. the message to washington, d.c., is 'get ready...' because there will be change.

and is about "oswald the lucky rabbit" the character was created by walt disney in 1927 and it was a precursor to mickey mouse. the cartoon has been lost since its original release. a print was found in the institute's archive and walt disney studios believe it may be the only surviving copy. students at east middle school are helping the homeless. ktiv's tommie clark introduces us to the girl's who started a movement to help themselves.. and their community.

"girls circle teaches middle schoolers how they can make a big difference with just one of these blessing bags." "when we opened up group we always open up with a intro question of the day and the question of the day was what is one thing in our community when you see it or witness it, makes you a little sad and it was overwhelmingly homelessness," said juvenile court liason for sioux city schools and girls circle facilitator, margarite reinert. the group of over 50 7th and 8th grade girls reached out to the rest of the student

body and asked for personal care and cold weather items. and tuesday, they grabbed some bags and started putting those items together. "it's important to have the girls really look at empathy, but also knowing that the things that pull on their hearts, they can make a difference even with the small little things-- the random act of kindness is not only good for them, but good for the community as well," said juvenile court liason for sioux city schools and girl circle facilitator, margarite reinert.
