limits on the ability of workers to band together to dispute pay and workplace issues. justice anthony kennedy signaled his skepticism of tyson's case when he told the company's lawyer, "i just don't understand your argument." sioux city officials expect to get an answer this afternoon on their grant request for the 264-million dollar pork plant project at southbridge industrial park. the council approved applying for a 4-point-6 million dollar grant through the "revitalize iowa's sound economy" program yesterday. the iowa d-o-t plans to discuss the request at a meeting at 1:30 this afternoon. city officials sound optimistic about the grant. "we've gotten good indication from the dot that they support the project," said sioux city economic development director, marty doughert. " the triumph seaboard project is going to bring a lot of traffic to the bridgeport area." the grant would pay for about 80 percent of the street work needed for the processing facility. interstate 29 drivers are shifting lanes in the sioux city

construction zone. as of this morning, traffic in both directions has been moved to the southbound lanes from the floyd boulevard exit down across bacon creek. as part of this phase of the project the new southbound on-ramp to i-29 will also be opened up. > weather ad-lib high wind watch in effect for most of the area wednesday and wednesday night we have one more mild day today with highs near 60, a few clouds overhead and steady south winds. changes arrive tomorrow mainly in the form of rain, thunderstorms and high wind of the 35-45 mph variety with 50+ mph gusts (hence the high wind watch). some light snow mixing in has also jumped into the realm of possibilities for tomorrow evening and tomorrow night on the back side of this system. once we make it over those hurdles, the next few days look quiet and dry with highs in the 50s and 60s with a fair amount of sunshine.

contacted the wisconsin gop asking how students can get involved. the students have already met several of the candidates who have camapigned on campus. they say this will be a great way to see them on a different platform. su "one of the main goals of volunteering at the debate is to have a better understanding before voting time rolls around." and, to better understand the differences between the candidates that are often highlighted during debates. "your policy is going to fail," said caeden tinklenberg, dordt college republicans vice chair. "my policy will succeed. here's why. it's good to have that conflict because if everyone agreed and conflict was ignored, no progress would ever be made." the debate will focus on jobs and the economy, as well as domestic and foreign policy issues. and, while the students won't know what their tasks will be until they arrive, there's one thing they'll know for sure. "looking back, they'll probably say hey i was able to go to a republican presidential debate," said kelly. fiorina will bring her campaign back to siouxland on thursday. she's scheduled to speak at the public library in onawa, iowa thursday at noon. onawa is the first stop of her first trip back to iowa after tonight's debate. sioux city's cone park project is a step closer to becoming reality. the city council awarded a consulting agreement contract of up to 350-thousand dollars to a mason city company to help design the park, which will go next to the ibp ice center in singing hills. total cost for cone park is about $4 million. construction is expected to start in the spring with completion in december of next year. the sioux city school board has approved a land donation to the city. it's land adjacent to the dearborn bride, just west of lincoln elementary school. the school distirct owns the property. last night, the school board voted to donate it to the city so the bridge can be rebuilt. today's the last nice day before our weather goes south tomorrow. that's the word from

the farm and fiagriculture officials say an unusually warm start to november has helped iowa corn and soybean farmers nearly complete this year's harvest. the weekly crop report from the u.s. department of agriculture says as of sunday the corn harvest was 93 percent complete in iowa,87 percent in nebraska and 99

into a police officer's patrol car friday afternoon. the video shows patrol officer matt stacy pulling over to lay down tire spikes ... but the white s-u-v shows no signs of stopping -- ...accelerating towards stacy at nearly 50 miles per hour ... (chief mike carter/sand springs police) "this officer had to make his decision in less than three seconds what he was gonna do." the video shows him get back up in pursuit of stacy ann bunsey. "they just rammed stacy" this footage from another officer's body cam ... shows stacy bunsey ... popping out through the sunroof, ignoring police orders and yelling obscenities. "i'm god! .. (inaudible) on fire! do not move your hands!" after disobeying several orders, bunsey is tasered. "taser taser taser!" miraculously, officer stacy, walking away from the incident with just minor cuts and bruises ... . we can do that across america. the goal is 50% clean energy by 2030. so, what are we waiting for? if you work hard, and you do your part, you should be able to get ahead and stay ahead. but the republicans... they want to go back to letting the super wealthy call the shots. they don't stand up for equal pay for women. they don't support paid family leave. they don't even really support refinancing student debt.
