(matt) robert thanks. as rob mentioned, city plows have been working hard to stay ahead of the storm, today. (sheila) they're working 24/7 to get the job done. ktiv's tommie clark spoke with those drivers today. tommie, schedules seem to go out the window when a big storm hits. matt and sheila, i spoke with drivers who say it's more than a job. they work 7 a-m to 7 p- m...or vise versa. there's almost 50 pieces of snow equipment in the sioux city streets department, with 18 of those being the spreader trucks. they drop salt and sand and have blades to plow those streets. they're the ones first on the streets and last on the streets. the sioux city streets superintendant says they're a special bunch and hard workers. "they're out there on the nights, they're out there on the weekends, they're out there on the holidays- time away from their family and friends and events so i think

highly of them," said sioux city streets superintendent, ed pickens. he says teamwork is big for their department. i rode around in one of those trucks and spoke with a driver. he's been plowing the streets of sioux city for the past five years. "the hardest part is just trying to make it where people can get around that's the hardest thing for me and everybody has such a big area. a day like today as soon as you make a pass, it's coated again," said sioux city operater one, jeremy groves. groves says he takes pride in his job because he gets to help siouxlanders out. he takes a great responsibility in his job. they will continue to plow the streets through the night and into tomorrow. matt and sheila? (sheila) thanks tommie. as city crews tend to the streets here in sioux city, plows are hard at work on the highways and interstates.

most roads in northwest iowa and northeast nebraska are listed as "completely covered" by snow at this hour. and, the south dakota dot isn't advising travel on any state highway,xor interstate, tonight. log onto ktiv-dot-com, and click on the "weather" tab to find links to the latest siouxland states. northern siouxland will end up with over a foot with those amounts going down the farther south you move. the snow will be tapering off over the next few hours and come to an end early tonight.

(sheilil an already agreed upon 90-million dollar expansion of a biodiesel plant is growing. (matt) ag processing inc., and woodbury county supervisors, amended the previous deal today. officials say the plan is to

expand their biodiesel operation, which adds more value to soybeans in the area. agp plans to invest $128- million in captial improvements. that's $38-million more than before. doing so will add a few more jobs than originally expected. nodland elementary had a special visitor this morning that taught them all about friendship. ronald mcdonald visited nodland to speak to the students about friendship to beat bullying. the program is called "a friendship adventure with ronald mcdonald." it works t tencourage students to be friends and shows them how to support each other.r. one quick reminder... tonight's denim to diamonds, which benefits the ronald mcdonald house, is still on! the fundraiser, at the marina inn conference center in south sioux city, started at 6 p.m. brad's here -- it's another big weekend for the hawkeyes. the undefeatd hawks play their last home game against purdue -- with a couple of big goals ahead. and, another explorer pitcher has been signed by a major league organization. sports

there's a lot on the line when the hawkeyes host purdue saturday in their home finale. iowa can finish undefeated at kinnick stadium for the first time in 11 years. the hawks can also clinch at least a share of the west division title. ioio is 10 and 0 and ranked fifth h the playoff standings. purdues just 2-8, and the hawkeyes are favored by three tochdowns. the hawkeyes are doing all the little things right. they're in the top ten nationally in time of possession, turnover margin and rush defense. iowa's also trying to send 21 seniors out with a

"they've been through it all," said junior rb lashun daniels. "they've been through up and they've been through the downs. they know what to expect. they know what it takes for us to be good and be successful. i really think they have the whole team behind them, supporting them."
