paris attackers who fled to the brussels area. they didn't get him. they fear he might have an explosive suicide belt - the man who drove him here said he'd been wearing a thick jacket. his brother went on belgian tv to say he believed salah had pulled out of the paris attacks at the last minute. fighters have left to fight for isis in syria, so they have good reason here to be worried about another terror attack. back to you. >> the u.s. military is stepping up used by the islamic state group for its oil-smuggling operations. in addition to suspected isis locations, a u.s. spokesman in baghdad says american planes hit 283 oil tanker trucks in eastern syria on saturday. it's part of a concerted campaign to cripple the militants' oil revenues. u.s. planes chased off the truck drivers by dropping warning leaflets and making strafing runs before dropping the bombs. planes are also bombing oil facilities. > weather ad-lib we'll see a little bit more melting today as temperatures reach the upper 30s and lower 40s with some decent sunshine. some of that moisture though could very well lead to some overnight/early morning fog tomorrow, but we should break that off and get another decent day with highs near 40 before

develops tomorrow night. wednesday, will be a very gray and gloomy day with fog, drizzle and light rain, so low visibilities will be the main travel issue at hand then. see graphics. >> police have arrested an 18-year old man in connection with the murder of a pregnant woman in indianapolis. 28-year old amanda blackburn -- the wife of a local pastor -- died after a home invasion earlier this month. she had been shot in the head. early this morning, police announced the arrest of larry taylor. he faces 13 charges, including murder. blackburn was 12 weeks pregnant when she was killed.

blackburn, released a statement today saying he's extremely relieved at the arrest of a suspect, but it doesn't "undo the pain we are feeling." police in new orleans want members of the public to come forward with information on a shootout in a park that wounded 16 people. hundreds of people were gathered at a playground for a block party and music video shoot in the city's 9th ward, when two groups in the crowd opened fire on each other yesterday. police are also asking for any video of the incident. court documents indicate the woman who plowed her car into a homecoming parade for oklahoma state university was not drunk. 25-year-old adacia chambers killed four people and injured dozens more when she drove into the parade route on october 24th. a document filed in district court indicates that chambers' blood-alcohol content was only point- zero-one ... far below the legal limit of point-zero eight. chambers faces four counts of second- degree murder and 46 counts of assault and battery.

a norfolk, nebraska man has been sentenced to almost a year in jail for an illicit relationship 20-year old luces rasmussen pleaded guilty in madison county district court to contributing to the delinquency of a minor. he had been charged with two counts of sexual assault of a minor. investigators say that when he was 19, rasmussen engaged in sexual relations multiple times with the girl, who was 13 at the time. she became pregnant and has since had the baby. rasmussen was sentenced to 364 days in the madison county jail. that's one day short of the maximum penalty, which would have sent him to the state prison. just about of sioux center, iowa has power again after blowouts at two substations knocked out electricity to half the town early saturday morning. the town's utility director says as of this morning, only one power. saturday to get the electrical system working again and all

two 'o clock sunday morning. damage to the substations was significant and officials say it could take up to six months to complete the repair work. downtown sioux city is lit up for the holidays. the season kicked off with the lighted parade last night. ktiv's tommie clark takes us to the festivities.

here's a live look at west lake okoboji from okoboji skycam... 26 colorado state patrol troopers have been killed in the line of duty.. two within the past 6 months. just weeks ago -- taylor thy-fault's mother learned his name will be added to the national memorial in washington d.c. carole adler says her first instinct was to share the news with her son, even though that's no longer possible. mother and son talked daily and since his death she has been grieving the loss of that connection. but now, there's a new connection. kim christiansen reports.

way the cadet and trooper deployed stop sticks. the driver didn't stop. both men were hit. carole adler, mother) "at that time i just screamed no no please not him." taylor died at the scene. trooper rushing was critically hurt. a tow truck driver also there wasn't hurt. he said taylor shouted at him to get out of the way carole adler, mother) "he died a hero he saved a man's life so he could go home to his little ones" save a life. goal number 9 achievst not how his mom expected carole adler, mother) "i went into his room and repeatedly said i'm sorry. i'm sorry it was so violent, i'm just sorry i couldn't protect you from that looking thru his phone, i was the one who he inadvertently spoke to last." their conversation wasn't supposed to end.

monday through saturday. you want to get the word out that the kettles will be out there, so when people get out of their cars they can grab a little extra change and throw it in the kettle. you're also looking for some volunteers too? yes, we would love to have volunteers. you can go to registertorin g.com and sign up to volunteer with us. the shifts are two hours long. you have 48 hours before your day to schedule a shift and before your day to cancel a shift. this is something really easy that families can do together. it's a great way to give back during the holidays. yes, we love having our volunteers, without them we couldn't do what we do here in siouxland. our programs wouldn't be possible, we wouldn't exist without volunteers. speaking of those programs, how's that money going to be used form the kettle campaign? it goes towards our permanent supportive housing program. we have a homeless transportation program and of summer camps for children. you guys have lots going on all the time. red kettle campaign starting now, be sure to donate. allison, thanks so much for being here. thank you.
