fan reactionnd that final score of the big game. for now it looks like these fans are ready for a big victory. sheila? thanks tommie. a norfolk, nebraska home was destroyed in an early morning fire. the norfolk fire division was called arorod 5 this morning.g. they say y ames and heavy smokeke could be seen from the second story of the house. authorities say it took about 40 minutes to bring the fire under control. no one was injured and the cause of the fire remains under investigation. . authorities in antelope county, nebraska are still looking for a missing teenager. fourteen-year-old chayton faulkner from oakdale was last seen n wednesday afternoon at school. he's an 8th grader at neligh-oakdale public school.

many local retailers as they opened their doors for their black friday deals. ktiv's tiffany lane stopped by a few stores in sioux city this morning. tiffany? sheila, people were back at it today hitting stores, including the walmart you see here. the parking looks packed. and today, i caught up with a few people who have taken advantage of all those discounts.

thanksgiving day to begin browsing. it's an annual tradition, complete with a stategy. "we'll take turns in line so someone willllo stand in ne and then the rest will shop a a then wewel kind of swap places," said stephanie schwebach, an alton, iowa resident. su "one black friday participant shares a story of the holiday season and giving and how it exists even during a busy time of shopping." "there was kind of a specific thing we were sort of looking for and there was a lady that actually gave us hers because there was none left and so she gave it from her cart to us," said melissa klein, a sioux center, iowa resident. shoppers weren't the only ones enjoying themselves. employees in the retail world, revel in their own way. "i love it," said lila plambeck, human resource manager for jcpenney in sioux city. "i love this time of year. it's been a lot of fun for the associates. they all got free gifts and things like that." >> for anyone interested in joining in on black friday shopping, there's still time. many of the stores are still open and some are even continuing their black friday

and, again black friday shopping started on thanksgiving day. penney opened its dodos at three yesterday afternoon. the southern hills mall kept a busy stream of customers past midnight as many stories stayed open. and, target opened at 6 p.m. on thanksgiving and stayed open through the night. shoppersrsho didn't brave the e malls on thanksgiving were still busy buying gifts online. a digital tracking group says sas online are up 22 percent from last year. target's ceo says online sales are off to a very strong start. target and wal-mart both launched all their black friday deals online a day early. shazam reporting m me transactions this black friday than last year. shazam is a debit network that procecees transactions nationwide. transations are up 10 percent this year. they hit a peak during the noon hour as shoppers took a break for lunch. the average purchase from 6 a.m. to noon stayed

south daksouth dakota regulators are expected to decide monday whether to grant a construction permit for a pipeline that will cross through the state. the 1,130-mile dakota access pipeline proposed by dallas-based energy transfer partners would move at least 450,000 barrels of crude daily. it would come from the bakken oil patch in western north dakota through south dakota and iowa to illinois. it needs approval in all four states. south dakota's public utilities commission held a public hearing on the project in late

september and early october. another one was held in boone, iowa earlier this month. supporters of the project say it will create jobs, help with energy security and more safafy trananort oil. opponents worry about possible harm to the environment and wildlife. today, we have been hearing all about black friday.. but tomorrow is small business saturday. and last weekend, a new locally owned store came to sioux city. "mode" is a women's clothing store opened by siouxlander, tammy bertnd. bertrand says the store gets new merchandise three times a week. you can purchase what would be a $200 pair of jeans at a department store for just $40. bertrand says sioux city has been needing a better shopping experience and she says her store will provide that. and with small business saturday coming up-- she emphasized how important it is to have stores like "mode."." "it's really important that t support our small sinesses cause there's so many unique ones in sioux city and when people come to our town they're very impressed," said mode owner, tammy bertrand.

commons right next to justice. iowa's secretary of agriculture is encouraging iowow's to buy a fresh tree grown in iowa this holidada season. there are more than 100 christmas tree farms in the state. farmers harvest about 40,000 christmas trees each year, resulting in a million dollar industry. it takes 6 to 12 years to grow a christmas tree before it i iready to be sold. most tree farms in iowa are 3 to 8 acres in size and sell trees by choose and harvest method, where a customer comes to the farm cut their own tree. the official white house christmas tree has arrived! first lady michelle obama, along with the first family's dogs - bo and sunny - receceed the 18-and-a-half foot frasier fir today. the tree was grown in pennsylvania. the tree, which is 11 feet wide, was cut down monday and will be on display in the blue room. this is the 50th tree to see

years ago in a triple overtime win over the mountaineers. cyclones have blown late leads lead with 4:00 minutes or less to go in a game. at 3-8, iowa state isn't playing for a bowl game. they're playing to send coach rhoads and seniors out on top. opened fire ininde of a planned parenthood clinic in colorado springs, colorado. the community's mayor says the standoff at planned parenthood has ended with an arrest of a suspect. at least a dozen hurt, including at least four police officers. it's not know yet if anyone has been killed. watch for continuing coverage tonight on news 4 at 10. .
