school. the girls mother has filed a federal lawsuit against the sioux city community school district. north high school's previous band director resigned after stealing thousands of dollars of school instruments. in 2013, kevin massey was sentenced to three years of probation and a five-year suspended sentence. he pleaded guilty to theft after prosecutors lowered the charge. plus, he was ordered to pay almomo $20,000 in restitution to thehechool district and three pawn shops. investigators say he stole more than $50,000 in instruments to cover gambling debts. new details are being released following a threat made friday against sheldon high school. the threat was written on a bathroom wall of the school, but officials have not revealed what the threat said. according to the o'brien county attorney, a 14-year-old boy was taken into custody on saturday. the county attorney confirmed he was a student of the high school. a hearing is set to determine whether he should be held in detention or released. the county attorney says that hearing will take
