news details this afternoon in the investigation into the two bodies found inside of a burned-out pickup truck earlier this week. authorities haveveeleased the identities of the two found dead after autopsies were performed on tuesday. they are 37-year-old josh klinetobe of tilden, nebraska and his wife, 33- year-old bobbi jo klinetobe of meadow grove. firefighters found their bodies on monday afternoon after responding to a vehicle fire near pierce. the pierce county attorney says it appears to be a murder- suicide and evidence shows that josh, killed his wife, bobbi jo, before he killed himself. dna testing will take several weeks to confirm the identities. authorities say no one else is involved in the deaths. friends of the family have set up a fund to collect donations for the seven children the couple leaves behind. donations can be made at the tilden bank. the tilden library is acceptptg donations of clothing and gift cards for the family. and a gofundme account

authorities have released the names of the victims who were killed in a crash yesterday afternoon in northwest iowa. e buena vista county sheriff's office says two vehicles collided head-on on highway 7 near the raccoon river bridge, which is west of newell. 19-year old juan lopez and 46-year-old maria gaitan... both from fonda... were pronounced dead at the scene. the two people in the other vehicle, 27-year-old alex spielman from spencer and a 7-year-old were treated and released from the hospital in storm lake. authorities continue to investigate. it was rough weather throughout the south last night. re december thunder r orms spawned d re than a dozen tornados reported in mississippi alone. at least eight people were reported killed across three states and many others hurt or missing. also hundreds of survivors maybe homeless or without power for christmas. nbc's mark potter isisn clarksdale mississippi with more.

roof is partially collapsed and the house itself is actually knocked off of it's foundation, pushed in that direction about five feet. the sheriff tells us that the people who live there are ok that were not hurt but they did have to spend the night in a shelter in clarksdale. the power crews have been out here since first light this morning repairing the downed line. they have a small army out here trying to get people their power back. the storm system yesterday spawned dozens of tornados in several states causing wide spread damage. in that storm zone some people are still missing and authorities are out looking for them to see of they can find them to see of there arar more victims. that's a very grim task anytime but especially during the holidays. mark potter nbc news clarksdale mississippi. >> > we continue to take a wintry turn here in siouxland with more snow today(at least it makes for a festive christmas eve)! a burst of snow is expected to skirt its way through the region this morning and afternoon with accumulations of 1-2 inches possible. the system will be a quick mover and will leave behind just some clouds

practice for the gehlen catholic marching band. nats these 34 students are heading to warmer temperatures. :39 "every three years, the band goes to a trip and that involves a bowl game of somomsort and this year we are goinindown to the russell's athletic bowl in orlando, florida," says tj kruse, the senior drum major of the band. the band applied and was chosen to be part of the halftime show of the game. the jays will play with 3,000 other students from 26 high schools around the country. 14:06 "our school isn't that big and getting in front of thousands of people with all those kids, it's pretty intimidating," says tyler zenk, a freshman trumpet player. 6:00 "that's my favorite part and getting together with all these other people 3,000 other high school students who love what i love and doing what i'm doinggnd sharing in it and living in the moment," says megan kellen, a senior snare drummer. for senior megan kellen, it's her last hurrah with the close-knit group.

the band's director says the school has 106 students making the trip. they'll leave at 3 a-m this saturday, and return on new year's day. as santa's elves work around the clock to get ready for christmas, we found another toy shop in an unusual location. ktiv's sheila brummer traveled to springfield, south dakota for the story.

worked on 35 to 40 bicycles. they tear them apart, sandblast the parts, put them back together, then paint them. this year, a dozen guys redid about 13-hundred bikes. :48 we get a lot of letters back from kids and family from people who appreciate them." 1:15: the inmates get a sense of worth putting these bikes out for the kids. they really do. they really enjoy it" the bikes go to non- profits, churches and police departments... pretty much anyone who asks with a need. and, the parts the inmates can't use, also get recycled. and some inmates have turned to knitting to help out. this year, they partnered with goodwill of the great plains to help with the annunu shoe ananmitten drive. yarn is donated from l lal churches and goodwill, and the inmates knit hundreds of hats and scarves. we're tracking santa after the break. where is the man of season right now as he heads to siouxland? and stay tuned for the forecast

won't be just a normal message but we will have awesome music, awesome musicians, we'll have different videos that will come on. it's an activity for the entire family. at the end of the service we want to take up an offering to help rural community residents that are in need. no doubt that need is present not just during the holiday season but certainly all year round. this is a new location for this event, you've done this event for years but you're doing it at a school auditorium so you can get more people that way. absolutely. our church only seats 160 people and every year that we do this it seems to be full. we've done a couple services in the past but this year we figured that one service we would try. the woodbury central auditorium will seat close to 400 people so it'll give us a different venue. you find that when the holiday season comes around that people get so caught up in the commercialism that sometimes we forget the true meaning or the true reason for the season. absolutely. that's the beauty about the christmas eve service, it kind of brings everything back into perspective. then when we send them away to be with families they're going with that fresh in their mind
