the storm lakekeolice dept. is askiki for your help in locating a suspect in a burglary and assault. 28 year-old domonick tribble alledgely enetered a house in the 100 block of irving st. in storm lake. once inside, the victim says her estranged boyfriend assaulted her, stole her cell phone and fled on foot. tribble is described as a black male, approximately 6'4", 180 lbs. with a tattoo of the name "nick" on his left arm and a skull on his right arm. if you have any information on his whereabout, please contact the stom lake police dept at the number on your screen. more details are emerging about an iowa woman who faces several charges after police say she crashed into another vehicle on purpose. according to court documents ,melissa ebert of cherokee, iowa was driving a car with t t passengers--eastbound on c 38. she and the front seat passenger, got involved in an argument. that's when documents say ebert threatened to crash

ebert collided head-on with a westbound approaching vehicle, approximately 1/4 of a mile east of otter drive. the incident resulted in three people ending up with serious injuries. she also faces her second owi offense and a charge of serious injury by motor vehicle. for the first time since more than fifty women started accusing bill cosby of sexual misconduct... a criminal charge has been filed against the famous comedian,. nbc's stephanie gosk has more for us this afternoon.

this is the time of year more people get busted for drinking or impaired driving. ktiv's tiffany lane road along with sioux city police to find out the steps it takes to make an arrest.

sioux city police department's asap unit takes. "when we are looking for drunk drivers are small cues, like somebody who drifts across the dotted line and move into the wrong lane." once the drivers are pulled over, there are a set of tests. for drunk driving: "follow it with your eyes only, keep your head still." looking for involuntary jerking of the eyes. "five, six, seven, eight" the nine step walk and turn test. "like this. one thousand one. one thousand two. one thousand three." and the one leg stand test for 30 seconds. there is also a preliminary breath test on scene. "nats blowing" "we take kind of the totality of all of it," "just cause they fail one doesn't primarily mean we're going to take them for drunk driving. it's just combining all of them together." su "after arriving at the jail, drivers take the state certified datamaster, which is an official breath test." (nats of blowing) whether they test over a point o-8 or not is whether they'll be charged. for drugged driving, testing for police takes a little longer. there is a 12 stete process that takessat least 45 minutes. officers check pupil size, clinical signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and body temperature.

pecaut nature center. we're talking about a couple of different things: one, winter trail hiking or snow shoeing if we get enough snow for it, and

stuff on those trails. let's talk about the snow shoeing and hiking first because that is a great activity that can be done all year round. we hope people will recreate not hibernate this winter. with the 40 degrees it's not hard to recreate but when we're getting sub zero temps. if we get enough snow we do have snow shoes available to rent at the dorothy pecaut nature center. it's a great activity to try. we do need a minimum of four inches before we will let those go out the door. we also have some events scheduled with snow shoeing on january 13th you can try snow shoeing at 1 if there's enough snow. we will have a hike if there's not enough snow, we'll still go out on a walk. that's something you can join us as a chance to get out. fyi, it is a no school day for sioux city schools so you could get the kids ouu the door and come out to the nature enter get some tra energy out so that's a possibiity. once you get past christmas people think what do i do with my chritmas tree. why not sed it to the dorothy pecaut nature center because you guys can use it too. we can. we
