so it is a bit difficult to see the crash site clearly at this time. the wayne county sheriff brought faa officials to the plane about an hour ago according to nebraska state troopers. the single-engine cessna like this one had left columbia, missouri, bound for sioux city. but authorities at sioux gateway airport diverted the flight to wayne because of bad weather. it was cloudy and foggy at the time. the plane should have arrived in wayne about seven last night. it was reported missing from radar at 7:18 by officials at sioux gateway. crews searched the area between pender and concord for the missing plane overnight. "we did a search here at the airport runways and everything but we did not find a plane. it did not show up here. the police department came out and said there was a missing plane. so from there on it was search and rescue. i guess about 2 o'clock this morning we got news that they

ponca state park superintendent, jeff fields. around 50 people in different age groups fling a fruit cake as far as they can. the record distance was set two years ago... with a throw over 130 feet. people clapping and cheering. "participants say the fruit cake fling is a unique way to have fun, but the best part is the family time." the entire sexton family participated in the throw. "it was really fun. i was kind of nervous because i've never done this before, but it was really fun," said 10- year-old, keira sexton. "it's a cool experience and you can just hike and it's fun with your family," said ian sexton. "it's cold so you get to bundle up with your family and have a nice time," said 15-year-old, quin sexton. "it was a great opportunity to come out to a beautiful state park and have a good time with the family. we've done this kind of thing before, kind of staying a cabin type of environment and it's a lot of fun," said dennis sexton. they say it was more than a friendly competition...
