we have begun our arctic blast all across siouxland today! temperatures struggled to get out of the single digits along with dangerously cold wind chills. values are expected to drop anywhere from 25 to close to 40 below zero. urge caution and bundle up if you have to travel tonight! clouds will also be on the increase this evening as we move into our saturday night. this cold front will give us our strongest blast of cold air along with another chance for snow. the snow will be of the dry and fluffy nature due to the temperatures being so cold. with that in mind it looks like the best bet for siouxland is anywhere from 1-2" f the white stuff through sunday morningyour 7-day foreast is coming up in 10 minutes and you've got some tips on what to do to stay warm out there? wind chills will be the worst saturday night and sunday night with values dropping as lows 40 below zero! temperatures will also be dropping well below zero, getting close to that -10 degree mark. winds chills will be colder off towards ne siouxland. some tips to stay safe tonight! please make sure you bundle up and layer your clothing. stay

you can now book your flight to dallas, because starting in may, people will have two options of where to fly from sioux gateway airport. sioux city leaders announced that american airlines will add daily flights to dallas. they say this is something that's been discussed since the airline started serving the airport four years ago. "one, it's a great destination for siouxlanders that's in our top few, you know just in our destination," said barbara sloniker, executive vice president for the siouxland chamber of commerce. "everybody wants to go to dallas. it's a great city. but even more importantly and because it's the largest hub for american. the connections are phenomenal out at dallas. with the dallas addition, there will be 20 flights from sioux gateway a week. a three-vehicle accident in buena vista county killed on person last night. the incident happened on highway 71 and 615 st. shortly after 11 p.m. a northdbound vehicle collided with a southbound semi-truck and trailer.

vehicle---anthony bruhl was pronouced dead at the scence. the driver of the semi truck was not injured a third vehicle collided with debris from the accident. that driver suffered minor injuries the accident remains under investigation. a rollover crash killed a siouxland teenager this week. it happened yesterday around 7:30 on e54 outside of moorhead. the driver who was 15- years-old said she lost control on black ice and went into the ditch. two passengers weren't wearing seat belts and were thrown from the vehicle. 16-year-old shelby montage was pronounced dead at the scene. the monona county sheriff's office says shelby attended school at west harrison. the driver and a 12-year- old passenger went to a hospital in onawa for treatment. authorities are still investigating the accident. a northwest, iowa man faces several felony charges surrounding a income tax case. the pocahontas county sheriff says 51-year-old robert butler from laurens was arrested last night..

four counts of fraudulent practice in the first degree and ongoing criminal conduct. his bond was set at $65,000. the sheriff says the investigation took a year- and-a-half and even involved the iowa division of criminal investigation. some of the most mouth- watering desserts were on display in south sioux city, nebraska last night. the delectable dessert auction took place at the marina inn conference center. it's all part of a fundraiser for the south sioux city chamber of commerce. "it's fun to see everyone get into the desserts--it really is. last year we raised 11,000 dollars off the desserts and we do 15 desserts. so when you think about it that's about $800 per dessert. people really pay a lot to have it. we don't offer dessert other than that so their table doesn't buy a dessert than the table doesn't have a dessert," said lori warner, south sioux city chamber president. the chamber raised more than 91-hundred dollars off friday night's dessert auction.

arguements wednesday in the case of nebraska versus parker. the case questions if pender is on lpart of the omaha indian reservation. and if reservation boundaries can be proven to have diminsihed. that case sparked this spiritual ride bewteen macy and pender today. the ride was organized by the omaha tribe. those part of this convoy traveled about 21 miles by horseback or car.
